I'm a big fan of gherkins too, i love the little tiny whole ones of the big sliced one in jars. MMMMmmmmm. I like them in a salad with an omlette but not sure about scrambled eggs...

Good Afternoon Sweeties,

It seems my Scrambled Eggs and Gherkins were quite the talking point!!!

Well we went to Town, made a fantastic discovery in Sainsburys...Basics Fresh Cheese Sauce...1/2 Pot for only 3pp which is so low for 'proper' cheese sauce!!! Roll on the Macaroni Cheese this week!!!

We are now at the Fair, it's HOT HOT HOT!!

I had my preplanned 7pp Lunch which was Vegetarian Chilli (2pp) served with Chilli Cous Cous (5pp).

Good Afternoon Sweeties (Again!)

So after the Fair/7pp Lunch we decided to head down to the Beach, we have a Memorial Bench there so as it was a nice day we thought we would use it!!!

As most of you probably know by now I'm not a big ice cream water but the one flavour I love is Pistachio and this year these have been launched...



My Favourite Ice-Cream Type and Flavour combined so I spent 8pp on one...





I had already been and bought the Belgian Bun and I really honestly didn't want that on top of the Magnum so I donated it, a good deed and temptation away from me!!!

Good Evening Sweeties

Saturday has gone slightly off what I had planned...Thought I was having my Belgian Bun, ended up with Magnum Pistacchio! Thought I was having Chinese, ended up with Veggie Kebab! And here it is...



I did the OCD bit and weighed the Pitta (80g) so I threw 1/4 to the birds and had my 60g for 4pp I counted 2pp for the Oil although I'm sure it was griddled, I would just rather be safe!

So I've ended up using Breakfast (6pp), Lunch (7pp), Magnum (8pp), Dinner (6pp) today, only used 1 Weekly! Can you believe if?!? Back to the Drawing Boaard for some Weekies I think...

Anyways, now onto my favourite section, the bargain hunting section! En route to getting the Kebab I went to Asda and managed to pick up...



I did the OCD bit and worked it out, it would of cost £25.24 and I paid £3.26! OMG! Happy Days!

I think that's all for now, other than to say I've earned 3AP today, happy with that for a Weekend day as its normally 0 or 1 lol.

Hey Sweetie, Just saw on your thread that you enjoyed the Sea Bass (Head and Tail as well!) I love my Bargains, it's a real buzz when you get a yellow sticker but the best bit is definitely the adding up stage! The Veggie Kebabs are lovely, the one tonight was Pepper/Onion/Tomato/Mushroom and then you get all the usual Kebab Salad with it too. X

I work in a supermarket, daren't say the name because they may hunt me down & kill me when I slag them off.....BUT....best bargain day is Sunday because reading hours are only 5 compared to the usual 12-14, so it's reduced from the get go. I love a bargain hunt

I'm normally a Sunday bargain hunter too (cos of childcare mainly) but it was so cool to go in another day, I absolutely love grocery shopping, id happily do that over clothes shopping any day!!! X

Good Luck with your hunt, I have a 'mental map' for Sundays, Fruit & Veg Reductions then Normal Reductions (Ready Meals, Dairy etc) and then Bread Reductions, always do bread last as I'm not too worried about brand and it doesn't tend to save me as much as fruit and veg.x
