im heavy for my size :S any 1 else feel like that

Hi all Ive come to the conclusion that i am extremely heavy must be my bones

i am a prefect size 18 now weighing in at 16.3

my friend is a 16 at 12 stone and im confused?

dont know what relevance this has to any1 though im just really boreddd and cant wait to be weighed this week

Hi there!

I am almost two stone heavier than you and am a size 18. I had just started to creep in to a twenty when I started slimming world. My friend who is quite a bit shorter than me is very similar to your friend in what sizes she is.

I think its a combination of aspects that determines our clothes sizes and also what shop you buy clothes from!

i know what u mean im 5ft 5 15st and fit into a 16 with room, 18's fall down its weird but even when i was yonger i was 10st but could fit into a size 8, ive always said i have heavy bones lol x

It is tricky... I'm 14st12 now and am in an 18 but everything's big and baggy and my trousers keep falling down!!! I think I will be in a 16 when I lose another 7lbs or so.
Just goes to show everyone is different!!!

Not long after I started there was an article in the SW magazine about a woman who was a size 26 and weighed around 16 stone when she started. I was a size 26 and weighed 22 stone when I started AND we are the same height. Very odd!!

I know, and I think we all know, that using the 'big bones' arguement doesn't get any of us anywhere and is just hiding our heads in the sand coz big or little boned, we're all here as we have weight to lose, BUT it was wonderful a while back when I saw my doctor and he measured my wrists and HE told me that I've got big bones!

I think it depends where you store your fat! I was just over 15 stone when I started and was size 20. I'm now just under 12 and size 14.

I'm the same, my best friend is 2 inches shorter (I am 5'10 she is 5'8)than me but I am currently 12st 12lbs, she is 10st 8lbs and we both are a size 14 top and bottom although we are completely different body shapes, we first became friends at a SW class and at the time I was 11 and a half stone, almost at my target, she was astonished when I told her how much I weighed as she thought I was around 9st. I am a size 10 at 11st. On the one hand its nice that I can gain a bit of weight and no one really notices but on the other hand, I hate always being heavy, when you see all these celebs who are my height like Nicole Kidman etc and weigh around 8st I wonder how they manage it, I think I would look anorexic at that weight

I was having this discussion with my mum over the weekend I have ordered a ball dress which at the moment is too small for me but mum tried it on and it fitted her, so she said well your going to have to get to my weight to get in it but she is 12 stone and a 16 when i am 12 stone i am a 12!! I do not get it at all ( at the moment i am an 18-20)

Height has a lot to do with it. I am 5'7", 14st 8lb and I can squeeze into size 14 jeans but am comfortably a size 16 on the bottom and 14 on the top. I am an hourglass shape, your shape also makes a difference. I think we all carry our weight differently and most people think I am lighter than I am

it's really good to compare this i'm 5'9 an weigh 12,13 and i'm a comfy 14 people always say god i cant believe u weigh that but i am massive my wrist bones are huuge lol i dont know my body shape i'm all boobs lets say and slim on the bottom but like rachelina when i put weight on it's all over so it really creeps on i dont even notice.

I'm 5ft6ins, weigh 16st10lb and am a size 20 - although I sometimes need a 22 to fit over my b00bs! :giggle:

I think this is one of those things that just demonstrates how wonderfully diverse and different we all are.

It is strange! I am 5ft 5 and weigh 14st 9lbs and am a size 18 everywhere whereas my mum weighs 11 stone and is 5ft 8 and fits into a size ten easy!!!

I agree with shape as well because I am all boobs and slimmer on bottom but when I put weight on its all around the middle and back, arms n legs stay the same! xxx

Remember muscle weighs the same as fat but is much more dense and therefore takes up less room.
So you can have someone who weighs 150lbs with 19% body fat and someonw who weighs the same 150lbs with 35% body fat. Say both women were the same height and pear shaped, then the woman with 19% body fat would look much smaller because her lower fat percentage does not take up as much room.
Which in turn means her measruremnts will be smaller and therefore clothes sizes will be smaller.

Actually I seem to have got it all wrong. I just squeezed myself into a size 12 top. The fact that my boobs became one big blob and that I could hardly breath obviously doesn't mean a thing lol I also looked hilarious but I got it on

Well I am 5ft 7 and 14st 41/2 and 20 top and 18 bottoms...

to be fair, I do work out 10 hours per week so I think I have a lot of muscle and water weight
