In the pink

Almonds are my go to snack item - may have to superglue the lid on the jar now :(

B: Loch Etive trout, small amount of celery
L: Herta frankfurters, rhubarb & coconut with a spoon of yoghurt
D: Nicoise salad with a small tuna steak, few anchovies and a couple of eggs.

Usually I would be picking throughout the evening, but at worst I have a couple of sticks of celery. Really need this to start working.

OK, put that through MFP and have

24g carbs
139g fat
151g protein

I'm thinking I am doing it wrong. Scales up again this morning. Not at all happy.

Really tried to rein it in today.

B: 2 roast chicken breasts (no skin because it's yukky)
L: 4 slices gammon (home cooked) lettuce, peppers and spring onions, strawberries and cream
D: Crispy kale, slice of smoked salmon & broccoli quiche (3g carb, 16g fat, 16g protein per slice)

B & L takes me to 18 carbs (naughty strawberries), 22g fat and 108g protein

Looks like you need more fat ... Mayo or butter or coconut oil help to up it... :)

I thought that looked a bit low - have just made some crispy kale with olive oil and made the quiche with broccoli, feta, cheddar, cream cheese and a spot of double cream for luck. I know that sounds like a lot, but I'll only be eating a small slice for supper then dipping in over the next few days. It's going to be a bugger to add on MFP though as I didn't think to measure anything, just chucked it in!

Ohh, fat in the smoked salmon too - once again will be protein heavy day

Well I must have been doing something right - another 4 lbs gone, so down by 8 in total.

Eating this way is starting to feel more natural rather than a battle that need to be fought. Lots of Greek salads, tiny amount of strawberries and cream as a treat, always a quiche in the fridge in case of nibbles, cut out the almonds, just one Atkins bar in the last fortnight (why does having a row ALWAYS make me turn to food?) and a few alcohol fuelled moments, but generally, have been able to stay on track.
