Goodstuff, January is a good motivation month, everyone seems to be in good form. Am thinking 1lb a week for a year & I'd be well at target We'll see how it goes.
Great plan Izzy x

I'm gonna make a batch of syn-free BBQ sauce as I've just run out & I find this invaluable, both as a condiment & a base sauce.
Have you a link to the recipe for your BBQ sauce? Sounds like it would be a hit in this house.
Thanks a million, will give that a lash. DH isn't a fan of tomato sauces, so I use BBQ if I am making a pizza
Hi Izzy :wavey:,
I'm back ! I've had a few weeks off plan, my sister has gone and today I went to group for the first time and was dreading the gain. It is huge but I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I have done all my food shopping for the week and am properly organised to start losing weight again. Needless to say some of the clothes that had started to fit me before Christmas are now digging into my waistline whoopsie ! I am committing to doing body magic every week to help lose all this extra weight I gained. It was my first day back at the gym today and it was really hard, I was not as fast as I usually am, my body felt tired since I am out of practice. Anyway I hope in a few weeks my hard work shows some results - it better, or that will be me sad, with my head stuffed in a pizza again .
I hope your doing well Izzy. Well done on your losses so far, that's fab ! Especially this time of year with the weather, I think it's hard for all of us right now. Izzy I have started my own diary too to keep me on track. Do pop in and say hi. The link is in my signature .

Yay Kay,
I'm Glad you're back, you sound in great form & raring to go,fair play to you.
I pressed restart after New Year & I'm determined to stop the yoyoing rut I was stuck in before Xmas. I promised my self I'd do some bodymagic this week too. So far none, I've been busying organising stuff for my course, I start my work placement on Monday. I'm training in childcare, it's one of the few jobs that would fit in around my kids. I fancy a 9.30-12.30, Mon-Fri, childcare assistant type job, Sept-June, whether I get one is another thing, my town is small & abit cliquey so we'll see. I have to clock up 120hrs of unpaid work experience to qualify. I'm looking forward to starting it, even though it's daunting, I've been a sahm for nearly 9yrs.
I'm having a "last supper" coffee morning tomorrow, as it'll be me last chance for 6 weeks to sit & gossip with my gal pals.
I've popped over & subscribed to your diary
Ello it's me again ! I just read your comments on someone else's diary about the scan bran cake. I've always wanted to try this out but never got around to it because I have heard some members saying scan bran tastes like cardboard ? Does the taste go away when you make it into a cake ? Kay xx
Thanks a lot Izzy for the recipe, I think I will give it a try, I'll take a pic too if it manages to stay together . I know what u mean about being addicted to mins ! Kay xx
Well Kay it's looks like pieces of cardboard packing or compressed wood & hell knows how anyone eats it as a crisp bread as I reckon it could injure your mouth it's that coarse but made into cake it is edible. Now I won't kid you,it's not the fluffiest tastiest cake in the world,ha ha but I was pleasantly surprised & so easy to make. There's a few variations but I make mine ......
5 scan bran (put through a food processor or made into crumbs,I use an electric mini chopper)
3 tbs sweetener
1 egg
1 yoghurt (I use coconut muller light)
Mix everything in a bowl, put in a microwave dish, cook on high for 6-8mins,mine takes 6mins,you'll see it come away from sides of the dish. I slice into 5 fingers,so a syn each & I sometimes top it with a scrape of choc philly. Its lovely as an alternative to a biscuit with a cup of tea & has had a positive effect bowel wise
I've run out so will be making one 2moro. There's a bit of a texture to it,finding it hard to describe at the moment, I think you'll either hate it or love it,but worth a try. Let me know if you try it. Think there's a sale on in holland & Barrett,it might be on offer.
That's a new take on scan bran cake i've not seen(with yoghurt!), will have to try that one...'with' the chocolate philly too
Like Kay I've not got around to making a scan bran cake but this one looks really good so I shall be putting it to the test too! Thanks for that.
Love your description of scan bran slices and having eaten one topped with a cheese spread which took me ages to swallow it, I agree whole heartedly!
Hope you had a good nights sleep Issy.
Hi Izzy ,
Well done on your progress! Like you, I am slowing becoming addicting to this virtual world but it is unbelievably motivating to read everyone's stories. I think I may start a diary myself and hopefully it will keep me on track. I lost 12lbs from March last year to August when I went on holiday, where I lost another 2lbs! (I don't know how!) But since then I've really been up and down with it and gained 6lbs :sigh: I'm slacking at the gym at the moment because it's just so cold and wet outside and after getting home from work all I want to do is put my pjs on and wrap up in a blanket! But I've started again PROPERLY this week so I'm determined to lose the 2 stone I hoped for in the first place! A diary may help me do just that so thank you for the inspiration!
Danielle xx
How did the cake turn out Izzy ?
