It all starts now...!

Morning :)

Made myself a lovely breakfast this morning..mmm...I hadn't had them for months and months. Usually in my house, my Mam does a Sunday Dinner but i'm not feeling one today so gonna sort myself out. Thinking ahead to WI on Tuesday already, would love 2lbs off again but ideally, even 1 / 1.5lb would keep my happy.

Breakfast

Magic Porridge Pancakes (HEX B) with 1 tbsp Golden Syrup (2.5) Strawberries and Grapes

Dinner

Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup with Salad of Lettuce, Cucumber, Red Onion and Pepper.

Tea

Baked Potato with leftover Mushy Pea Curry (Garlic, Onions, Mushrooms, BNS)

Homemade Apple Crumble and Elmlea Light Cream -whistles-

HEX A - 200ml Oatly Chocolate Drink
HEX B- 30g Porridge Oats

Syns- Don't even know?!

How do you make magic porridge pancakes? They look soooo good!

Mix 30g porridge oats with a pot of muller lite (not the Greek ones, they're too thick) and leave in the fridge overnight. The next morning, beat in 3 eggs and a tablespoon of sweetener or to taste. You need to mix it really well to make it like smooth batter consistency and not clumps of oats!

Spray frylight in a frying pan and wait for it to get hot. Place in a round cookie cutter and spoon in the mix- you don't want them too thick. Once you think it has set, remove the cutter and cook for a few mins, then flip over and cook the other side. You'll need to keep frylight'ing the pan! They're lovely, just like the flat pancakes you can buy in the bakery aisle. As a guideline, that usually makes 8 / 9 ish for me, so I share with someone!

You can have 35g Porridge Oats for a HExB - you're missing out on a whole 5g!! :giggle: xxx

Oh yeah, it's been so long since I've made porridge that i forgot haha! Not that i missed it, makes far too many as it is :D x

Sooo......bit of slippage after tea as you'll see in my diary for today! Not gonna beat myself up over it, I've had nearly 2 100% weeks on plan and that has been a long time coming.

Plannage- minimal syns until way in xx

Ps- it was lush!

Just noticed your tea tonight - chicken and sweetcorn soup. You'll need to Syn the chicken if you're having a Green day hun! xx

Oops- I meant a red day! Would everything be ok then?! Was gonna bring my book to work today but forgot! xx

If it was a Red day you'd still have to Syn it because of the sweetcorn, it's not free on a Red day. Similarly, neither are peas! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but either way it's going to need to be Synned :(

Don't forget your 0.5 Syns for Greek Muller, and apart from that everything looks fine! xx

Ha! Scrap that, I'll go back to my trusty EE and have some salad with my dinner and tea and will cut down on the HE's :D xx

Just a quick update today- one of our big training courses is on at work today which our director is teaching, so hectic already! Had a peek at the scales and looks like it'll be a STS which i probably deserve..I'm at the stage in my journey where i can't have my cake (or crumble!) and it eat it :D Still feeling very positive and in the zone though, raring to go for another week!

today is a Green day..

Breakfast

Strawberries, Grapes and Raspberries
2 Alpen Lights (HEX B)

Dinner

Salad of Lettuce, Cucumber, Red Onion, Cucumber, Tomatoes, Feta Cheese (HEX A) Reduced Fat houmous (4)

Oooh I love pesto  How do you make yours? And what's the Syn value? Yummy! xxx

I'm using a recipe from someone else's blog :) Here is a pic from someone else who made it..

Serves 4

1.5 syns per portion or HEXa

Ingredients
50g (ish) fresh Basil leaves
100g fat free Fromage Frais
50ml Vegetable stock
2 Garlic cloves, roughly chopped
4 tbsps grated Parmesan cheese (6 syns or HEXa)
Mixed Herbs
Salt & Black Pepper

Method
1. Put all of the ingredients into a food processor and blast until it resembles a thin paste.
2. It's a simple as that!

N.B. If you like a bit of spice, add half a small roughly chopped red chilli to the food processor with the rest of the ingredients.

Half on tonight. A little bit disappointed as I've been 100% apart from that apple crumble LOL. Hey ho, I'm geared up for the week ahead and meals are all planned :) xx

Can I ask what may be a very simple (silly) question but why would you chose a red or green day when you can do EE and have both as free food?

Joanne I think you are being hard on yourself you have done amazing and we all slip up... we wouldn't be human otherwise! :D
If anybody has any hints on what I can eat tomorrow that is light and its weigh in day but not until the eve??? I don't want to bulk up on lots of heavy veggies lol

I normally live on EE but realised that I didn't have any meat in my planned meals today. You get double the amount of Healthy Extra's on Red & Green, so I was able to have Feta on my salad at dinner time and also Parmesan in my pesto for my tea, so I didn't need to syn either of them :)

I have that problem too on WI day as my WI isn't until 7pm! On WI day I normally have a bowl of fruit and a yogurt for breakfast and some sort of salad for dinner time, using my HEX B between those mealtimes on 2 alpen lights if I need something to eat, or a piece of fruit :)
After WI I want something quick so could be a baked potato or pasta etc- or some leftover curry / stew from the freezer.

Thankyou btw :) not gutted but a STS would have been better. I'm ready to kick some ass next week ;-) xx

Hi there Joanne... I didn't see your post, you must've posted whilst I was writing mine... Why do you think you have put on? If you have stuck to it 100% is there something that you can see in your diary that you may be able to attribute it to?? I am seriously worrying for tomorrow now!! lol

Apple crumble and cream haha! * week should be on it's way..could all be contributing, plus I used to do a lot of excercise when I was losing well.

Plan for this week is stick to my menus, up the superfree on EE days and start running consistently again.

Good luck for tomorrow, sure you'll do well!

Just gobbling down my pasta. Mmm! Xx
