Well at least the bath sounds like it might have been relaxing! Macaroni cheese and chicken chargrills sounds like a VERY nice dinner. I bet you are very popular in your household tonight.

Your cooking seems to be getting better & better :) and now you're getting requests, fab!!
Well done, you must be chuffed that people are now asking you to make dinner. I'd love to sample some :-D xx

Hi hun! Sorry I haven't been on to catch up!

I've been poorly. I hope your okay. How are the A levels going? I love the colour coded food. Great idea!

Haha, you're welcome any time Hazel!

Hey Purpled! Oh no, sorry to hear that! Hope you're feeling better now! ;) The A-levels are going OK, major work overload though! It's a big, big transition from GCSE :p

Having slept on it I think I need to a) STOP tracking on mfp, b) not worry about points either and just enjoy the freedom, yes this portion idea does give me loads of freedom but that's a good thing because I need to change my attitude given that I can't track stuff forever! So, gonna edit my earlier posts + remove the points counts and keep going with this portion thing for now ^^

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Also, I'm really surprised at the sheer amount of interest in the secret santa thing (technical term there!) - pretty much everyone I asked has agreed to participate. Setting a limit at £5-£10 for the gifts, will give it a week or so to give everyone a chance to reply before I begin organising gift allocations etc!

Oh dear :( Can't someone else either cook or collect ur brother so u don't hafta do both? Ur running round like a blue arse fly.. I'm worried ur doing too much :( xx

Afraid not Frances :( it's not as if it's a quick tea either, risotto means you gotta stand over the pan stirring for ages :/

Some woman came and had a go at me in the playground cause apparently my bro bit her son's arm yesterday and left a mark.. i mean, the teacher didnt say anything and my bro's too much of a wuss to hurt a fly, hmpf. His dad's gonna go in and talk to the teacher tomorrow..

Well that wasn't very nice of her. N these things happen in school. It's life!! How old is ur little bro?

Another busy busy day, its a shame that someone else can't take a bit of the pressure off you sometimes. It always sounds like you enjoy helping your family out and treating them to dinners and stuff but you need some time yourself too. Ham and cheese risotto sounds fab. I am a bit of a cheat with risotto I have to admit and don't tend to stand over stirring it constantly. I chuck in 90% of the stock at the start and then stir 3/4 times while it cooks, in careful scientific experiement in the Atomic household it doesn't seem to make any difference. I also tend to mix through a tsp of philadelphia at the end too which makes me really nice and creamy, never liked the idea of stirring butter through at the end. Eurghh.

Hope panto rehearsals go pretty quickly.

Thanks Atomic! It was bacon, leek and pea risotto which smelled (and tasted.. shh!) amazing! Unfortunately, there wasnt enough to go round so I just had egg, chips, peas and ham for dinner which was equally delish and very nostalgic :)

I added a teeny splash of cream at the end and did cheat - chucked in most of the stock and went back to stir every 5mins or so :p

I do enjoy helping everyone out etc.. but sometimes I do feel like people take advantage, for example, today, Mum expected me to magically cook tea and go and pick up Alanna (sis) from dance.. I can't be in two places at once as handy as that'd be at times, argh!

Honestly, poor you! As I keep saying..you certainly are such a mature young lady... You have far too many responsibilities heaped on you, bless you! ... :flowers:

Awh, thank you Emm! xx

Feeling a lot more chilled concerning food now I'm not trying to track anything :) Another 6 lesson day, eeek! Got loads of homework to do already and will no doubt get more today though, hmpf :/ Ah well! Such is life I suppose :)

Hahaha THANK FECK IT'S FRIDAY right enough!! Just completed 2 x 12 hour shifts and looking forward to a long lie tomorrow & some retail therapy. My neice has been unemployed for 2 years and got told yesterday she's got a job in Asda. I'm taking her shopping tomorrow to buy some trousers & shoes for her new job :)
Going to friends tomorrow night for a catch ip and a few drinks. Other than that, that sums up my weekend..
Have you any plans? xx
