JaneB saying hello this is my diary and journey.

Hello sweetie :wavey: :bighug:

Not sure there is anything to take for the hair :( its a case of dealing with the stress and it will begin to grow back. This happened to my sister a few years ago and the doctor said she was making it worse ie a vicious circle as she'd be stressed = hair loss = stress because of hair loss = more hair loss :(

Is it just a little bit? a little retail therapy and a nice pamper to destress ;)

Hope you are okay sweetie xxxxxxxx

Hi sweetie, so glad the flat is done, can't wait to see the pics. Also very glad that hubby is on the mend :bighug: to you both.
Hun I have been losing my hair for a while now (another side effect from the steroid tablets I am on ) I am really quite thin on top and I hate it, there are a couple of shampoos one of which I use that seems to make it look thicker and that is Tresemme, will have a look later and let you know exactly what it's called as Kirsty bought it for me and I am a bugger at remembering what things are called lol. I also use a little hair mousse as that seems to make it look thicker and after trying a few I settled on the one by Avon as it's not so sticky.
As the lovely Jackie said a little pampering might help with the hair loss too.
Good luck sweetie and I will catch you soon, :hug99: for you and :hug99: hubby too xxxxxxx

Thank you both, my hair is falling out a lot, It started when Chris was made disabled last year and I was diagnosed with diabetes due to the shock of Chris, but the hair stopped falling out about 5mths ago, now its started again, I think its due to me having to do things on my own and worrying over hubby, its getting to me again which I don’t like, glad of any suggests that might help, if you could lily found out what shampoo it might be, also the mousse from Avon, I would appreciate it, I don't have time to pamper myself with looking after Chris 24/7. xx

Hi Jane,
Right I have just looked and the shampoo is Tresemme, 24 hour body Shampoo and the mousse is Avon Advance Techniques Volume, bodifying foam mousse, I find that when used together they seem to make my hair look thicker than it is and believe me my hair is thinning quite badly on top xx...good luck hun xxx

Morning lovely lady, hope you are well and hubby is on the mend still.
When i can get round to it I will post a before and after pic of my hair or lack of it ....when my hair is left to it's own devices you can clearly see how thin it's going but once I have washed and dried it and used the shampoo and mousse it definitely isn't that noticeable at all.
With my hair loss it started with the onset of the diabetes but has gotten much worse since they put me on the last lot of tablets for my psoriasis and it stated quite clearly that one of the major side effects of them was hair loss...I can run a comb through my hair and come out with the comb full at any time...very demoralising as because of the weight problem all my life, I have made my hair my focus, so it kills me that I am losing it, but it's just another of life's way of kicking you when you're down eh?
S0d all I can do about it, so have to make the most of a bad situation.
Keep well my lovely and hopefully have a good day.
Good luck for wi today too xxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm glad the flat is all finished and that hubbie is better than he was.

I don't know anything about hair loss. If it is stress related you have had a lot on. Perhaps it will settle down a bit now the flats finished. I know life will still be hard but it's one less thing to worry about.

Maybe if you get chance to get back to baking and cooking that will help - if that's what you find relaxing.

Hi Jane, missing you, hope everything is ok and hubby is ok....how did you get on at wi...did you go?
Hope you come back soon, miss our chats a lot :bighug: to you and hubby xxxxxx

Hi Guys, thanks lily for the advise on the shampoo and mousse, going to give both of them a try, been very down and stressing out alot got to pull myself together, my best friends father died last week aged 88, been busy helping her out aswell as looking after hubby who's been very understanding and very patient with me, funeral is on tuesday. Went to wi put on 0.5lb for the 1st time did't like it but knew it had to happen sometime. To cheer both of us up our christmas decs are going up Fri/Sat already started with a few things we brought couple of weeks ago that didn't get put away, "can't wait", having the family around this saturday, going to do a sw finger buffet whilst the grandchildren help with the outside tree which they do every year. Has any one else put there trees up. xx

I'm sorry to hear about your friends father :( please look after yourself Jane.. The 0.5 lb is nothing, don't worry about it andi know it'll be off by next week x

Hey Jane, so sorry to hear about your friends dad :hug99:
How's you today? and how's hubby, improving everyday I hope? :bighug:
You can lose that 1/2lb sweetness you know you can...just hope my scales tomorrow aren't as bad as I suspect they may be :giggle:
Have a lovely day my dear friend :bighug: xxxxxxxxx

Sorry to hear all the bad news - it is good that you are still coming on here and are still keeping your focus. It is normal to put on from time to time so don't get too down about it. We're all in it for the long haul. xx

:thankyou: Hazel, I just don't like the feeling it gives you when you put on, feels like you are going off track, even tho I'm not, if you know what I mean :giggle:, it does help to keep focus on here everyone is so kind. xx

Glad you're back :)

I'm sorry things are still bad for you. Don't worry about the 1/2lb - if you want to know how to gain properly just check out my diary ;)

No tree up here yet but I heard Christmas music today and saw santa switching on the lights on Saturday so I'm getting a bit excited :D

:thankyou: Tilly, you are doing ever so good yourself, you need to think of the positive things you have done, its hard when you are stress I know, but everyone keeps telling me we are strong and can do this, ok.

I am so excited about my Christmas dec's going up the family are coming up on saturday to help, it's going to be magical. xx

In my thoughts and prayers Jane x

:thankyou: Rozie its going to be a stressful day tomorrow, so thank you. xx

:hug99: for you and hubby sweetie, hope tomorrow isn't too stressful for either of you :bighug:
I fear the scales will do their worst, have had a terrible time with my weight loss the last couple of weeks, but am determined to get back on track and put it all behind me.
I too am putting up my decs this weekend, Kelsi, Kia and Jack are here to help too and the youngest always put's the Angel on the tree, which is Jack now...we are getting them out on Wednesday to check and see if anything needs replacing or sorting out and then Saturday after we have spent the day Christmas shopping, the decs are going up...I can't wait xxxxxx

We are taking each day one day at a time and trying not to stress, we are both so excited we both love christmas, we are sorting ours dec's out on Wed too, the family always come up and help with the christmas tree outside and put the chocolate dec's on the inside tree, its a time we all love to spend together, its our eldest grandchild Annabel's last year of believing in santa we feel, its so sad she is only 9, we think someone has told her at school, she is starting quizzing about it, she keep asking do we believe in santa and we tell her "of course".:giggle: xx

Hi sweetie, we don't have an outside tree, used to have some outside ornamental trees but they packed up and hubby now parks the car on the drive so not sure if we will actually put anything up outside, but you can guarantee indoors will be like Santa's grotty.
Got the same with my grandkids, Kelsi doesn't believe, Kia isn't 100% sure either way and Jack is still a believer...but I don't think it will be long and to be honest I hate when that happens cos all the magic goes for them, so very very sad, although having said that we were lucky we managed to make Kelsi cling to the idea that he was real until last year...so :fingerscrossed: that means another 2 years for Kia and at least 4 for Jack ...although Kelly and Kirsty both told me they were about 10 when they knew he wasn't real but they carried on pretending they did cos they wanted their Santa Sacks :giggle: saucy s0ds lol xxxxx

My son wayne told my daughter Emma there was no santa she was about 9 but she said she believes because she wanted her santa sacks, :giggle:its true the magic does go for them but its up to us to keep the magic going, Annabel is 9, Ben is 7 maybe another 2 years for him, Catrina is 4 another 5 and Noah is 2 so another 7, our house is like santa's grotto, my kids asked why do we put so much stuff up, I said its for me and your dad not just for you's, they thought when they left home the christmas dec's will be reduce to a tree, sorry its got worse and more magical.:giggle:is that true in your house lily. xx

Hi hunni,
omg that's exactly how it is in my house. It's not the kids that always ask it's my sister, and I just love seeing the kids faces when they see all the pretty lights and decorations...we do it for us...well me actually, I love it the more decs the better, if I had more time, money and energy my house would be covered inside and out and I would never take them down either lol....I LOVE CHRISTMAS :giggle:
When I was a child my parents never really celebrated Christmas, in fact the only Christmas I actually remember clearly was the year my father decided to decorate the living room on Christmas day and was watching Moby Dick on the TV while he worked.
I always swore when I grew up that my kids would never feel like that about it and they don't.
As soon as Kelly and Jack's Birthday's are out of the way (although they aren't the last ones they are the last 2 important ones) on the 19th and 20th November I get Chrismassy and put up the decs and start watching Christmas films...I have hundreds of them on DVD, my favourite being Scrooge but it has to be the musical version with Albert Finney, and out come my Christmas cd's too, so from now until after Christmas is completely over and the decs come down I will be watching DVD's or tuning into the Christmas channel to watch the Christmas films they have on there 24 hours a day lol and my grandkids and Kirsty and on occasion Kelly too when she's here, will be here watching with me :xmastree: :109: :47: :Christmas02r: :48: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
