Jaylou's diary~Much better now!

Hi Jaylou - just to say 'hi' and to let you know that I'm going to be stalking your diary for inspiration!!!
Hope that you are starting to feel better now.
Quick question - are you in maintenance mode at the moment, or trying to lose? Thanks!
I am so impressed by how you have managed to stay at target for so long.

Hi and welcome to my world! I'm currently trying to lose - I need to lose 2lbs but it's so hard to lose when I've been maintaining for so long. I've got so used to the extra bits!

So I'm trying to be good and stick to plan. I've managed one day so far this week (out of 2 in my dieting week!). I hope the weekend will be good :)

Thanks!!
Hope it goes well for you.
Yes, it must be hard - you have to get used to eating more and then you have to cut back again - nightmare!!!
Well, all that I can say is that your plans look fab.
Have a great weekend. x

Well, I didn't update my diary but I did have a wonderful foodie weekend and all on plan! I ate lots of lovely food - cooked a great deal and had my syns. Felt great and best of all, I lost 3lb this week.

Not fed up now!!

So, onwards and downwards. I want to shift some pounds for my next hols... I'd like to get 3 under my target weight, it will be hard work but I'm going to try. Thing is, I have something planned for nearly every weekend so I will be on plan for the rest of the time.

Today's food - Red

Breakfast - bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes

Lunch - tinned salmon and salad. Blueberries and yoghurt.

Dinner - home made burgers topped with bacon, cheese (A) and relish (2 syns) served with B choice of wedges and salad.

A - milk
B - ryvita (for supper) with tinned salmon

Well done you on that loss - you must be so pleased!
I know what you mean about wanting to get under target for hols (I've just seen that you've replied to my diary, so may be repeating here!) - I'm going to try and do the same after next week.

Whats really encouraging is that you managed to have a good loss, stuck to plan and had syns - so it can be done!!!

So pleased that you are feeling much better now! I hope that you have a fabulous week. xx

Quick update, still feeling good, still pretty much on track too! Until tonight when we have friends round and it's a slap up 4 course meal. Yum. Can't wait!!!
Back on track tomorrow morning with an SW "fry up"

Hiya Jay, I hope you don't mind me asking but have you struggled to maintain your weight or has it been ok? I know there are always natural weight fluctuations, up and down but I was wondering how easy you find it. My mum and I do SW together, she didn't have much to lose and got to target a while ago and she seems to find it really simple. I imagine (when I get there) it won't be an easy ride. Thanks. x

Hi Xassy, I find it really difficult but, for 2 years, I have pretty much done it. I go up and down and gain really easily - mainly because I love my food and I do like to indulge. We entertain a fair bit and like to eat out and depending on my resolve at the time, I'm not always good!

I have to go to group each and every week to keep me on the straight and narrow, it's the threat of having to pay if I go outside my target.

It's so worth it though.

Well, what a weekend - I had a wonderful meal on Friday and was very very tired Saturday so consequently didn't eat particularly good food, all I wanted was cheese, bread and cake. EEk!!!

Oh well, Sunday was a good food day and today will be too.

Monday - Red

Breakfast - 2 poached eggs on 2 small toast (B)

Lunch - tuna salad.Banana

Dinner - Lamb curry (carrot, onion, pepper, tinned toms, spices and spinach). Lovely!

A - milk B - tbc

Hi Jay - pleased that you had a wonderful weekend (and that the bread and cheese hit the spot!) :-D
Hope that this week is going to plan so far?? xx

Err..... it was until today! I had a lovely starbucks sandwich and cupcake. Not looking forward to WI tonight but I shall face the music and move on to next week.

I need to get a grip and stop socialising!!!

Hmph. 2 pounds on. Grr.

I have got to sort things out this week. It's sucess express as much as possible for me, one day at a time - starting tomorrow. I really really want 3lb off next week!

Hey Jay, hows it going? Sorry bout your little gain- sometimes I find a small gain or a STS is good for us to work harder at it or do something different to get a good loss the following week!! I think losing week on week can make us a bit complacent about it all!! (NB I STS this week so making myself feel better, but I think it's true all the same!!)XXX

i gained two this week Jaylou - get back on the wagon with me.....xxx good luck chick - next week you can get rid of those pesky two pounds xxx

Thanks ladies. xxx

Right, here goes - first day of "being very very very good"

Wednesday - SE

Breakfast - bacon (1/3) 2 eggs, tinned tomatoes and salad leaves

Lunch - tinned tuna (1/3) with a huge salad of leaves, tomato, radish, pepper, apple and onion

Dinner - salmon fillet (1/3) with carrots, broccoli, tinned tomatoes and 198g new potatoes (B)

A - milk

Other A and B will be cheese on ryvita for supper and I will snack on fruit during the day.

Syns - not sure, I have no biscuits or cakes in the house (thankfully) so perhaps I'll have a hot choc with a couple of marshmallows on before I go to bed.

*Please* let me stick to it today.

Oh I love cheese, it is my absolute downfall! It's one of those things I wish I didn't like, but I shall measure out my ounce and savour it!
Thanks for your support - I need it just now. x

Have a lovely day - enjoy the glorious weather!
