Fighting for My Health
Hi
Pleased to have found this place. Used to chat to some people on Discovery Healthy a good while back and then fell off diet and lost touch. Just tried to find people again and Mich pointed me in the direction of this site. Haven't had chance to have a good look about yet, but it looks great - well done Mini
Anyhow, this is round 2 for me on Cambridge. In Sept 05 I was at my heaviest (19 st 13 lb at 5 ft 6) and I did very well on the diet, losing 4 st in 4 months and then going on to slowly (because of cheating) lose another 2 stone.
Messed around since then though and have had a total break from dieting for the past 8 months or so. However, as expected the weight trend has been a bit upwards of late. I currently weigh 15 st 4.5 lb (on CDC scales, fully dressed), and my weight is creeping up again, and all the bad old food habbits have re-entered my diet
I know if I don't do something serious again, that give it 2 years (max) I will be at the 20 stone mark again, and I really don't want that. Life now is sooooo different to what it was back in 2005. I can only imagine what it can be life when I get to an ideal weight.
I'm 35 and married with 2 little boys aged 6 and 3, and I owe it to them as much as to myself to stay as healthy as I can, and lose the rest of this weight! Not to go back to where I was.
In terms of exercise, I'm doing very well with that. For about 14 months now I've been doing step aerobics, aerobics, circuit training and running a minimum of 5 times per week, so am cardiovascularly fit and some of my 15 stone is definitely made up of muscle. I'm not going to be able to keep it up though if I keep eating the way I have been of late
Anyhow, I got back in touch with my CDC next Mon and she saw me on the Tues and off I went again, and am now back on the SS wagon
. Got my first week weigh in tomorrow morning, and am hoping for one of those mega first week losses
Determined to finish this weight loss journey once and for all - it's been a long one!
Hi to anyone who may remember me from the old boards
