Jess's Diary - Weighed in a day early..

Ok, so proper update.

Friday I knew I wanted some chippy chips when I got to the shire, so I had 2 breakfast biscuits in the morning (2) and a chicken kebab (4). I had a "Tenbury Special" (oh eer) which is a tray of chips, a mini fish (not so mini!), small battered sausage and curry sauce. All for £3.70, I really wonder how I got fat AFTER I left.. I think it was in all the walking. Anyway, I ate HALF of everything. Probably only a 1/4 of the fish. I was picking at it while talking to my cousin and his gf and found myself full up. I thought I'd be hungry later but nope. The kebab gave me food poisoning though, I think. An hour or so after eating it I got a really bad stomach ache and had the pupsies.. then got that after most meals. Adam had it a bit too, but he won't blame the kebab, he loves his Friday lunchtime tradition. It's a crap, bland kebab shop! We went to an Indian buffet on Sunday and in the pub afterwards I had to leave my friend Hen for about 30 minutes while I went home! I nearly cried, very bad tummy pains. I'm guessing though, that it counteracted anything bad I ate as models use laxitives to slim  Sunday was also the xening, so a buffet for lunch too. I didn't have much bad, just some potato salad, rice, bread, cold meats, couple of crisps. Had a slice of gataux after but shared it with the niece. Saturday was I went out, meal for 30! We got there at 8:30, had poppadums etc (I had 1) and then ate at 11pm! That was a korma, half a rice and half a naan. Monday I was really hungry from having food poisoning and really stuffed my face. I had a brie/bacon sammich with chips, followed by a grab bag of S&V walkers and a kingsize twix. I didn't feel too bad for that as I was genuinely ravenous. I do feel bad for eating a medium 1/4lber meal AND 3 selects for dinner when I wasn't that hungry though  Today I haven't got back to it.. had breakfast biscuits for breakfast, then a tandoori wrap (good) but I just had a packet of crisps and a mars bar. Back to it tomorrow and apart from Saturday (cocktails, food) I can't see anything that will get in the way between now and my holiday. Saturday I will just eat low in the day and reduce where I can the rest of the week. Not that I have anything to compare to, I haven't weighed myself in weeks. Will do that tomorrow.

I have just decided that I will go swimming this week. Yes I will. Plus, being ill for so long with the cold then ear infection has undo all my building up to starting running, so I will do some walking then after I hand in my disseration (two weeks!) I will begin. Hopefully I will have built up a bit of fitness by the time I'm in France as the garden is huuuuge, I can run around that in the morning sun :D

I have dug my swimming cossie out and by some minor miracle and as long as I don't expect to breath I got it on haha!!!
see ya both tomorrow Jess

You over tomorrow then? What time? I'm staying at home tomorrow. Can you bring the recipe books pweeease? :)

Sounds like you had, ahem, an eventful weekend Jess. Poor you with tummy probs - no wonder you were starving after all that. Do you know Natalie Cassidy used laxatives to get rid of some of her weight? To be fair she only looked skinny for about 5 minutes - but they seemed to work ;)
Anyway, glad you're feeling better now and your ear has cleared up a bit. Good luck with the swimming - it's v good for toning. I need to get myself to the pool but one of my ex-clients goes there and it puts me off!
Wishing you luck getting back on it - that's the hard part but you know what you're doing :)

Hope tummy is all back to normal now Jess

Oh and well done on the swimming

xx

Hope your tummy is feeling better - dodgy tums suck.

Hope you enjoy swimming - just make sure you don't dunk under the water with your ear, I did that and 3 months later it was still blocked!

xxx

Poo read this to late to remember to stick recipe books in car
what with all the other stuff I was bunging in there haha!!
Can always pop home for them though while I'm there will be around for a few days :D
I'll be there after work this afternoon

Enjoy swimming Jess and Kally:D

BTW - i cant get the thought of the bacon/brie sandwich out my head:eek: mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm x

Right, think I'm going to be not pointing for a while and just try and feel my way through. I am trying to be thrifty this month as we have to pay Adam's car insurance, £100 a month 'til we move.. it went from £400 to £800 moving to London! We couldn't afford that in one month so went monthly... makes it £1000 overall, cheeky sods. Only 3 months of the disgusting rip off insurance! What is stupid is that I took the insurance down by £50.. I haven't passed my test! Then it went down £60 by changing Software Developer to Computer Programmer. Also, the people who are looking after Cassi have had enough so we have to put her in a cattery. £7.50 a day. Aaah, I just want to put some bloomin' money away. So, will stick to low fat everything and I know what I can and can't have generally. Today I'm having risotto for dinner. BNS and chorizo, but instead of cheese at the end I will stir in garlic and herb phili. I'm making double the portion and will turn the rest into risotto cakes, shallow fry and have them with something, I dunno what yet.

 That's shocking!!!

What risotto do you have jess? The ones i buy have mad measurements on and i cant work out the points:sigh:

Emma, I make my own, domestic goddess that I am.. Chop up the BNS and roast for 30 minutes, fry up some onions, add the risotto rice for a minute or 2 (til translucent), add a big slash of wine if using (I'm not, don't having any), then add hot stock, a ladle at a time after each is absorbed.. put cheese and other ingredients in, put lid on and leave for a minute.

I shall have to give this a go me thinks! Sounds lovely! Might miss out the wine - not a wine fan really:eek:

This sounds yummy Jess. I have BNS at home and am very tempted to make something similar....though I'm not sure about risotto rice on points but it can't be that bad?!

I'd guess it would be the same as normal rice, but I'll check the NVs for you when I make it :)

Mumma K is here and she gave me diet coke and packet of velvet crunch. Love her! I have been craving some diet coke all day.

Thanks chick - that would be great. I heart BNS!

I also heart diet coke so well done Mumma K. I am horrifically addicted to diet pokey - as it is referred to in my house.
