Hiya all!! thank you for the lovely messages and positive thoughts Unfortunately I didn't get the job (I have a feeling the internal candidate will have got it, but I'm not going to dwell on it! ), but in a way I'm relieved as there was no opportunity to teach A level Chemistry or Biology and I don't really want to go back to teaching just 11-16.

I didn't get to the interview stage, so I suppose I really ought to phone up for feedback, lol! Oops! Ah well, at least I got to spend some time with a lovely friend in Cardiff who I haven't seen for about a year
