So its my first night at Slimming world tonight, shocker when I got on the scales 17.8, flippin eck.

On-line grocery shopping done, my hubby is following it too, probably to a lesser degree than me, but is going to eat what I eat and I have ordered him small choccy bars so he can have them as a treat instead of the full size yorkies he loves so much.

Lots of cooking has been done so we have meals in the freezer, unfortunatley he isnt a fan of mushy pea curry - honestly whats not to love about it, I guess its an acquired taste.

Filled in my food diary for breakfast and lunch so far looks like this.

Brekkie
5 scan bran
Cottage cheee
Chicken bovril
(I know sounds disgusting but I like a savoury taste in the mornings and you've gotta love the scan bran:confused:

Lunch
Fruit salad
Vanilla muller light

Dinner
Probably mushroom stir fry with quorn fillets cut into strips
Egg noodles
Soy sauce

375 ml s milk
Nectarine
Apple
Walkers french fries

Im confident its going to go well, planning a BBQ on Saturday as its going to be sunny

Yesterdays food was good but i did feel a bit hungrier towards the end of the day so I had 3 jumbo S & V snackajacks and that staved off any hunger pangs.

So today is a green day so far I have had
6 Wholemeal crackerbreads
3 LC ex light
Chicken bovril

Nectarin, grapes, banana with WW strawberry yoghurt

For dinner (which Im so looking forward to). It was supposed to be eaten outside, but think I will BBQ and then we will eat inside, as its a bit windy to eat outdoors.
Quorn sausages
Corn on the cob

Medley of salads consisting of
Couscous
Potato
Beetroot with feta cheese
and boring old leaf

Ive also made some red onion marmalade so the house is currently stinking of vinegar. Its now cooling so i might a blob of that to go with my sausages as its syn free.

Hubby hasnt done too well on his first day, he went to a funeral and then ate a lump of chocolate cake at the wake (as well as numerous other things), then he went to a golf thingy where a pro was giving a talk and then he had some things from the buffet, honestly I dont think he's getting the hang of this slimming world lark, but then I cant force him. As long as he is eating things in moderation then his tummy should go down quite nicely, if not then we might have to rethink.

Hope everyones having a good day. Take care

Last nights dinner was fab, lots of lovely flavours. Unfortunately I did loads so we having the salads tonight with steak as well, fortunately it means the syn values of yesterdays have halved yess!

Breakfast was 2 quorn sausages, 2 slices nimble wholemeal and fried egg (frylight) very yummy it was too.

Didnt feel like lunch as I had quite a big breakfast. So I have had a bananna and a handful of grapes.

Been out to buy new bed, food, bowls and litter and litter tray for our new kitten who will be arriving at the beginning of September, we already have a big tabby called Morris, who is 12, but Im sure the little feller will settle in once we have done the staged introductions, we dont want any hissing and loud miaows.

Not done any body magic apart from cleaning the house from top to bottom, which got me in a bit of a sweat as its quite warm down here, so I may have burnt something off who knows.

Been a bit quiet for a few days, due to stuff at work, home etc, etc. anyways my first week has flown by. Im not going to say anything about the hubby and him following the plan, cos he fell off the wagon in spectacular style, he even had the cheek to me to ask if he was allowed a kit kat (after KFC for lunch, two rolls and a packet of crisps, not including the biscuits he had eaten) if he complains about the size of his tummy again!

Well first way in and Im 6lb's lighter, how chuffed am I. It was woman of the year awards tonight and each one of the nominated ladies (there were 5), all of their stories were emotional, I dont think there was a dry eye in the house. Pat won and she is so deserving of it and a lovely lady to boot.

Right off to do the on-line shopping for next week so I can have my mushy pea curry fix. Also looking at the curry loaf recipe on here as that might tingle the tastebuds. I must admit I love savoury stuff more than sweet.

This week I have exercising a little bit of control, when I think I feel like something to eat, I wait and say to myself "do i really want to eat something" or am I bored, tired or a bit thirsty and that normally sorts it out. Im usually bored, so I get myself out of my office, have a trot round and chat to a couple of people then Im back in my office and all is well with the world untl next time I think Im hungry.

Off for an italian on Saturday night as its hubby's birthday, just going to do a bit of research into what I would like.

Oh my god, first visit to the gym in 6 months, and it showed I am so unfit. 40 mins of cardio work was hard, but I felt good after it so Im going to carry on and probably go again before work on Monday. Food today has been a little dull as we are due to go out tonight to celebrate hubby's birthday. Not sure whether to have steak and salad (not very italian) or pasta and aribata sauce. Hmm will have to see if there are any specials on the menu I fancy some grilled fish but without lashings of butter. Im not bothered about the deserts that much but I do like a bit of garlic bread, so I will have to be strong and resist.

Well an update, only lost a pound this week which is a bit rubbish, so thats half a stone in two weeks, which is all good.

Food wise i have been trying to mix it up a bit, made the curry loaf off minimins, what can I say, gorgeous hot or cold as a meal or as a snack, love it and so easy to make. After way in I bought the curry heaven cookbook, so its been curry all the way. Made the kofta one yesterday which was gorgeous, really meaty and filling, we had it with rice, bombay potatoes and a sald of cucumber, apple, onion and a dressing made from yoghurt with mint and corinader in. Which was good to cool it all down. Tonight is the Turkey shamis, which are little minced turkey patties with lots of spices in. So Im going to make some syn-free chips, and salad and make a dressing again with the yoghurt, but with chili in it this time to give it a bit of a kick. Hubby is loving it. We have got friends round for dinner on Wednesday so we having lamb rogan josh, Ive also made another side dish with courgette, butternut squash, yoghurt, chilli and spices. Im not sold on that one so we will see how it tastes.

So it was another pound off this week, but as its a star week I should hopefully see some more off next week. Sometimes I feel a bit disheartened when Ive been 100% but hey ho, I will stick to my plan of action and Im sure it will all come good. Planning on having a bit of a cooking fest this weekend, after the curries all last week I will be looking around for something new to make. I will have a look at Pete's recipes on here as his always look fab, but I also need to do some to go in the freezer as Im really rubbish at cooking everything when I get home, I just need something I can pop in the oven or in a pan and then add veggies or salad and some type of carbohydrate.

Last time I did the plan I stuck to green and red days. Ive started doing the extra easy this time and dont know why I didnt try it sooner, sure I miss out on that extra A & B choice, but hey it means I can eat the same as everyone else and not have to worry about weighing my meat or carbohydrate choice which suits me right down to the ground.

My work is really busy at the moment and Ive got loads of reading to do this week in preparation for next week, so Im gonna scoot off, have my lovely jacket potato with cottage cheese, pickled onions (yes I know but I love them), some mange tout and maybe a bit of beetroot, im in such a pickle mood.

Crikey havent been on here for ages. Didnt go to class last week due to d & v, but felt better after a few days so was back to the normal SW mode. Went to class last night to find out I had lost another five pounds, god I was so chuffed. Only one more pound to my first stone, fingers crossed i can get it next week so i can put my shiny on my book. Am I the only one who gets excited by them, bet Im not :)

We welcomed our new kitten Botley to the household last Sunday and to say he is creating havock is an understatement. We are having gradual interaction with our big old tabby Morris, so far its going ok, but I will give them some more time together this weekend and see if the growling will stop from Morris, so far its going well, they are managing to be in the same room as each other. i know it will take time as Morris has been our one and only for so long, and having a maniac buddle of ginger fur leaping around all the time is a bit too much for him at present, but we will work on it.

Food wise i have my stepson staying this weekend, so I will probably do pizza tomorrow night, a smash one for me, and a fat one for him and the hubby. Hubby is doing really well with his weight loss, is now under 13 stone, which he is quite chuffed about. I will be making some meals for the freezer this week, probably some type of soup and a quorn chilli.

Hope your all having a good day.
