Just Recipes!

Just made myself some chilli mince with mushrooms and layered in a small dish with courgette and topped with egg/mayo mix with cheese.
Just waiting for it to me cooked now.

It was yummy and very filling, but could have done with a little bit of cheese sauce between each layer.

Recipe -

2 large eggs separated
60ml double cream
2 tbsp splenda (optional)
Lemon flavouring (or juice and rind)
120g ground almonds
1 tsp baking powder
pinch salt

Basically mix egg yolks, cream, splenda, salt and lemon flavour until smooth. Whisk in ground almonds and baking powder until smooth
Whisk egg whites until soft peaks form
Fold in beaten egg whites into almond mixture
Bake for 30-40mins @ 170c or till springy to the touch

WESTCOUNTRY CHICKEN (all in one pot)
2tbsp sunflower oil
1 onion, sliced (i use spring onions as lower carb)
4 rashers back bacon, snipped
4 chicken thighs, skinned
300ml (½pint) dry white wine
1 chicken stock cube
200g brocolli
150g green beans, trimmed

Heat the oil in a large, shallow pan and fry the onion and bacon for 3-4 minutes until tender. Add the chicken thighs and fry until browned. Pour over the cider or wine and crumble over the stock cube. Bring to the boil, then cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the brocolli and cook for another 5 minutes, then add the green beans and cook for a final 5 minutes until everything is tender.


i have it as it is , but i do minted new potatoes for tom and isobelle

Quak how many carbs are in this recipe? Can I eat these on induction? xx

For the sauce
  • 1 tbsp veg oil
  • 1 red onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 150ml/¼pint water
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • a sprinkle of splenda
  • squeeze of lemon juice
  • 425ml/15fl oz good-quality mayonnaise or homemade is fab
  • 3 tbsp whipped cream
Should keep in fridge for 3 days but me being me ive usually eaten it! :eek: Enjoy x

Ingredients: 1/4 C Soy Flour
1 T Cocoa Powder
1/4 t Baking Powder
5 Packets Splenda


2 T Melted Butter
1 T Water
1 Egg
How To Prepare: In 2-Cup Pyrex baking dish blend well left column (flour, cocoa, baking powder, splenda). Add water, melted butter and egg. Blend thoroughly with fork. Cover with plastic wrap (To vent, cut small slit in center of plastic wrap). Microwave on high 1 minute or until knife comes out clean. Choc cake looks great, im drooling! What cocoa powder did you use? The one ive got is quite carby. Thanks x ;)
 
Bought some alpro soya unsweetened ( milk) yesterday as it is 0.2 carbs per 100ml. It pretty good to be honest!
I like cream but want to use my carb allowance for making cakes and mim's!! probably been posted before but Im a newbie atkiners
