Just stumbled upon S&S - Questions!

Oh wow, am so excited! I'm nearing the end of my second week on CD and after a dodgy stomach bug, I've been left barely being able to face the packs I have.

I'd never heard of S&S but you all seem to rave about it! So I've ordered a sample pack with the Macaroni cheese!

Now, how does it work? Can you have say, a shake for breakfast, a bar for lunch a meal for dinner? That would be just perfect. Does it work under the same principles of CD i.e ketosis?

Do any of you mix CD and S&S and if so, how do you do it??

Questions, questions!

Heya,

So to answer your questions S&S is like all the vlcds out there (exante, CD, Liptorim), in that losing weight occurs through strict calorie restriction and a mild ketosis state.
As for pack combinations the ony restriction is you can only have 1 bar a day apart from that all pack can be had in any combo e.g.
1 bar, 1 meal, 1 soup OR
2 meals, 1 bar or
(if your doing 4 packs a day)
3 meals, 1 shake
1, meal, 2 shakes, 1 bar
etc

That's the good things about S&S you can make it to fit your preferences

If you want to do S&S as a total meal replacement you should have 4 packs per day. If you only do 3 packs you should have 100g of limited types of protein. There is also an optional vegetable and milk allowance. See the frequently asked questions sticky for more details.

As BG says SnS is a 4 pack a day programme. You won't get the protein or nutirents you need in a day if you only do 3 with no protein. CD is designed to be 3 packs and so the nutrients are organised to make that OK. There are people on here who do a combination of CD and SnS although I think that they normally only do this as they swap over - could be wrong though! If you want to combine then you need to check that you are getting all of your nutrients (2 CD packs and 1 SnS won't give you that), at least 50g of protein a day and between 50g and 60g of carbs.
