I can't believe how close the wedding is, I'm getting excited for you, can't wait to see the picks. My friend this week has gone back to Core (she refuses to call it Simply Filling and I don't blame her LOL!!!), shes much happier on Core and has great losses!

Thanks all. I've had another good day today. Took my mum out for lunch for her birthday. Had couscous salad and fresh fruit skewers with a hot fudge dip which I thought was very good. Nicked a few chips off my mum's plate though

My mum asked how much weight I have lost and I told her two stone. She said it looked like much more than that and then proceeded to tell me how awful I looked when I was fatter and how she used to think oh if only Karen would lose weight she could be so pretty - grrr! I said Keith met me when I was at my heaviest and thought I was beautiful but she goes deaf when anyone says anything she doesn't want to hear.

Aww. I hope she's trying to be nice and just can't put it across properly! It did sound like she was trying to compliment you by saying you looked like you lost more. Maybe she just worried about your health when you were bigger and thinks being mean will prevent you putting weight on again? Not nice to hear though It doesn't matter what she thinks though, if your soon to be husband thinks you're beautiful that's all that matters!

And she tried to blame my glandular fever on my going to a Nickelback concert while ill (ill with glandular fever, may I point out!)

I think most of us are, if we are honest....I guess it's how you react to things you don't like that matters.

Oh bless mothers heh!! I'm quite lucky my mum is very supportive whether I put on or not!!! But she does come out with some howlers at times though!!

Jennikay - well done for having the energy to go to a Nickleback concert when you had GF!!! It was all I could do to get to the loo LOL!! Hope they were worth it (I do love Nickleback!!)

Jess, you're right, I think she does try to say nice things and puts her foot in it but she has a long history of telling me I would be pretty IF I weren't so fat (!) so I tend to take anything she says with a bit of cynicism.

She also told me she would rather just not have the piece of cake in the first place than have to lose weight from eating too much of it!!! Aaaargh! I wouldn't mind, but she's the one having regular hospital treatment for uncontrolled diabetes because she can't stop eating bloody Magnums!!! Grr!

LOL, you're not kidding, M. I managed to just smile enigmatically which is an improvement on last time when (according to Keith) I informed her that they're going to cut her feet off and then she'll wish she's stuck to her diet

ha ha, your mother sounds like mine!! Meant with such nice intent but sounds just so flamin awful!! You must be sooo excited about your wedding! my friend is getting married in July and she is about to have kittens cause she is so excited...goodness knows what you will be like!

My wedding dress has arrived!!! It's gorgeous! Some poor indian woman has obviously spend hours on it sewing all the beads and stones on it.

Only one problem - I asked for the blouse piece to be made longer so it came down to my waist rather than just under the bust, hindu-style. Well it fits beautifully - to just under the bust. Not a pretty sight my midriff I'm afraid and, with the best will in the world, five weeks won't change that.

Off shopping for a nice cream foundation garment of some description methinks!

it sounds beautiful! Have a look in Marks and Spencer.. they usually have lovely cami's that you could probably fit underneath.. dont forget to take lots of photos anyway cause I want to see this dress come March! xxx
