Evening lovely people:)

Great day today - kicked off with weekly hard core zumba, then off up to town to meet a friend for lunch. Went to a place called Tossed near paddington - you basically get to make your own salad - so call it a chicken, bacon, cashew caesar for me :D. Then home and an afternoon of catching up and geting stuff done on email. Completely forgot about food until suddenly starving and then had my favourite chicken baked in mayo and parmesan with green beans and fried shredded brussels - meant to take a photo but too busy eating;) gotta love the food!

Been reading up on bodyfat and how to reduce it - think this is something i need to work on seriously!

Xxx

Oh my, a place called tossed for lunch......anyway yes we had one when I worked in Glasgow, think it was called PYO, was very nice.

Need pics of dinner, that sounds so lush! I could have eaten a scabby horse tonight :)

Oh and what ya been reading on body fat?

Morning Katie... What's the research on body fat?? Xx

Hello!
Oh, your dinner sounds lush! How do you make the chicken? And do you shred the Brussels when raw and then just fry?

Morning all:)
Looking forward to the day - catching up on lots of stuff plus dancing and gym - should be nice and relaxed:D

So food questions - smother chicken quarters in mayo/garlic/parmesan and bake - completely divine. An atkins discovery and now my staple dinner party dish:D. For brussels - yes just chop up and fry - yum

Ref body fat - two things that got me thinking
- article on marksdailyapple about excess skin - is there really such a thing or is it mainly remaining fat. See
http://www.marksdailyapple.com/how-to-get-rid-of-excess-skin-after-major-weight-loss

- linked article on how to get rid of fat - dont like the style or how pushing his book/solution but you can glean some really insightful info from it.
http://www.bodyfatguide.com/LooseSkin.htm

Fits my observation of DH - he has been same weight since he hit goal mid last year but has significantly changed shape including losing any "excess skin". He basically eats low carb with some treats eg donut day! - so really on maintenance, plus does some gym and cycling.

So my current plan - maintain weight while keeping to low carb maintenance plus continuing dancing and a bit of gym (no chronic cardio) - that should replace fat with muscle. Actually i haven't got any loose skin - but do have a rubber ring of fat round my tummy so need to lose a targetted 4 inches or so:eek: that hopefully would mean more clothes fit better too (they are typically tight on belly and saggy elsewhere). Note to self - this is a long slow journey so will need to think 6-12 months!

Have a good day all
Xxx

Morning Katie, I was the same, it took a while but my loose skin went in the end.

Hi Katie, will have a read of them when I get some time at home, probably tomorrow night..............thanks for the links. Lucky you not having loose skin, I have lots, especially my bingo wings and even after 2 years not showing much signs of shrinkage, but think that is more to do with age now, not so elastic. Not even contemplating surgery though, too much of a wimp xx
