Kat1e's Diary - 7 years low carb - still learning!

Afternoon all - in holiday mode here already as DD's half term has started:D

So lie in (where we woke up at 7.15 anyway) followed by weigh in. Happily at 77.3kg so slightly up from lowest but seem to be in my set point range at the moment. Particularly pleased because:
Hardly done any exercise last 2 weeks (maybe 2 hours vs normal 10-12)
Been enjoying the wine every night
Stopped logging food or using mfp - just going with all the knowledge and habits i've spent the past year learning

Will continue to see how it goes - we've people coming around in 2 hours for an afternoon bbq and then another one tomorrow! And of course half term means plenty of wine to enjoy..... But frankly i now eat legally ALL the time. Very little tempts me...except wine and sugar free choccie;)

We are supposed to be heading for isle of wight on monday but forecast is cold and rain - might put it off a few days instead:eek:

Bren - hope you get back to danicng soon
Lol susie - fleece then!
Enjoy being the lady in pink Di:D

Love to all
Xxxx

Amazing post Katie - you sound like Jim in that you know your comfortable weight range, you know what you can eat to keep within that range - and you still thorouhgly enjoy yourself!

Bravo, sweetie

Agree with Susie!! Well done for getting in the comfortable zone!!! You rock Katie! Xxx

Morning all:)

Just sitting in queue waiting to get on car ferry to isle of wight. It's rather chilly and forecast pretty dire but decided to just go for the break anyway. I still have tons of revision to do and need to just knuckle down!

Hope you have all had fun weekends so far - our bbqs on friday and saturday both went well and much vino consumed:D. Did have a grumpy moment when everyone was stuffing their faces with cake on sat afternoon - so had bowl of raspberries and cream instead;)

Will try to catch up on all diaries at some point - enjoy the rest of the bank hols

Evening Katie ... Hope IoW is a lovely break for you xxx

I wore your black jeans and purple patterned East top - looked better than I thought it would - so thank you again! Xxx

Evening lovely people:)

Just back from our week on the island - great fun if rather damp. Had two lovely sunny days and i even got burnt (oops!). A great break and very relaxed even if i mainly did my work for the exam next week - at least i've cracked the back of that, reading 4 very large books about all sorts of very boring stuff:eek:

My parents came down to stay as well and babysat thursday while DH and I went out to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and 25 yrs together - seems to have flown past lol;) Also took DD out to see men in black 3 in 3D on a rainy afternoon - nice to have family outings although rather light entertainment.

Food generally BBQ even in the rain! Was completely legal but feeling a bit bloated so think three weeks worth of wine and no exercise has crept up on me! Although could also be that 1/2-1 slice of burgen toast i was having for breakfast. Think i am VERY sensitive to grains :sigh:

Anyhow, been out to zumba this evening and a night off the vino, so hopefully sort myself out promptly. Although come to think of it, DH and I going on a boat trip/wine tasting on wednesday evening....!

Also got a ton of backed up charity work to do and final revision - will try to catch up soon

Have a great evening
Xxxx

Welcome home Katie! Hugs xx

Two sunny days? Su nee? S... unny? No, sorry, I have no idea what that word means.

Glad you had a lovely time, and happy anniversary!

Glad you had a lovely break and hurrah for the sunshine !
Isle of Wight is such a great place for a family break, we went a few years ago and it hadnt changed much since I had gone aged 12!

Welcome back Katie! Sounds like you had a good relax as well as swatting up for the exam! :D

When on earth did you and your OH meet? You do not look anywhere near old enough to have been together a quarter century! :) xxx

Glad you had a great time.

Sounds like you've been mega busy, but great to have broken the back of the studying

Happy anniversary! x

Lol folks and thanks:D

Still studying away - getting both boring and stressed:eek: Off out shortly as I've got a quarterly executive meeting for my charity and also somehow agreed to a fundraising committee meeting tomorrow too!

Far more excitingly, DH and I are off on a boat trip this evening that is very similar to the one from our wedding day - looking forward to live jazz and winetasting - i shall avoid the fish chips;) it's from Eel Pie Island up to Hampton Court and back - keeping my fingers and toes crossed that sun this morning means we will have a pleasant evening:D

Overall trying to get back to dancing and no wine during the week - my trending scales (not very accurate!) say an alarming set of spare pounds suddenly arrived - probably water due to burgen bread but need to get it under control. As part of my maintenance regime, i want to be able to lose them without feeling either deprived or restarting the use of MFP. Let's see!

Have a great day all
Xxx

Boat trip sounds lovely, and you might even be able to sit outside if the weather holds :)

And I bet those spare pounds will come off in no time hun, you are so very focused and disciplined xxx
