Kirsty's Atkins Diary

You're doing really well Kirsty.

Thanks for your encouragement jim. how was your friday fright night?

Monday 16th November

Lunch: Chicken, mayo, lettuce, cucumber, coleslaw
Snack: Babybel
Dinner: 4 scrambled eggs, half a square sausage, 2 slice of tesco cheddar cheese, 1 hot pepperami

Couldn't be bothered with the gym tonight. I know it's not the right attitude, but I was so tired after work. Have been so sore all day, it has felt like whip lash! lol i think i pushed myself too much yesterday at the gym so decided to give myself a night off tonight to recover lol. Have also been headachey all day so that's another good excuse lol

Weigh in tomorrow night so won't be able to go then either but back to it on Wednesday, fingers crossed for weigh in tomorrow! lol I can't wait to get weighed! lol

Oh god. David just went to the ice cream van and got an ice cream cone with flake, 50p mix up and a mars bar! I am so jealous what I would give to eat all that! lol but how greedy of him! I need to think Inspiration, inspiration, inspiration! xx

Willpower! I can do it! I can do it! I can do it!!

Give him a kicking, and it'll be exercise. :D

I love square sausage. :) or white pudding as they call it in NI.

lol Jim, will do the next time he pigs out! lol

Woo hoo! I lost 1.5lb! :D
Am very very happy!:D:D

Yay! Great hun.

Had a good day, myself, on Induction and thanks to Carla's kind words I will push to lose 9lb or more (!) by Christmas.

Enjoy this wonderful time. You're doing so well x

Fantastic Kirsty, well done love, and go for it Girly.

Well done Kirsty you are doing great!!

Am a bit late on but hey Jim! lol

Okay so haven't managed to keep track of everything I am eating on here, but have still been good all week. Been to the gym twice so far and started resistance training too when I'm there. Friday tomorrow! woo hoo! can't wait to get my bottle (or two) of wine!
One question for everyone... I have been really craving ice cream at the weekends and have had for the past couple of weekends. Last weekend I had a small ben and jerry's tub of strawberry cheesecake and then had some of the chocolate fudge brownie stuff. I was just wondering, is there any 'low carb' or 'not so bad' choice I could have? I just thought if worse comes to worse and I do go for some then I will prob do damage but not as much damage? Anyone? lol
If ice cream isn't a great choice maybe there is some other sort of sweet I could have?? I know I really shouldn't but if worse comes to worse etc... lol

You can make your own with double cream, splenda and low carb or carb free flavourings. However this wouldn't be induction friendly, nor would it be wise to make a large quantity unless you are very strong-willed!

But for an occasional treat it should be okay.

Go to Low Carb In The Uk for a wonderful, simple ice cream recipe that can be adapted to suit.

Hiya Kirst! Thought i'd drop by and see how you're getting on! You're doing a bloody fantastic job girl - you'll be at xmas target before you know it!! Well Done!! :)

How's you and David? Hope everything is alright xx

There's an ice cream recipe in the recipe thread on here too. It's a basic one that you can change to suit the flavourings you like etc.

Sorry! I forgot all about the recipe section here. Oops.

Hey and thanks girls for the great advice for the recipes, I never even thought that I could make my own what a great idea! lol.

Am a wee bit shakey today. Me and sarah went to my friend Jackie's new house last night for a wee blether and we shared 3 bottles of wine lol. Have only been to the gym twice so far this week so am determined I am going today to burn it all off! lol

As for the ice cream cravings, today I don't really have them so hopefully will be able to avoid it this weekend! lol

Hey Bex hows you? I am great ta. Me and David are brill.

Have 4lbs left to lose this month (2 weeks to do it) and then am aiming for 13stone 7lbs for New Year week weigh in (so 4 weeks to do that), Am going to give myself a bit lee-way for Christmas so think 7lbs loss in December would be great.

December is going to be a nightmare:

4th December - Christmas lunch at Sporsters bar. We leave work at 3pm, go for lunch and have been informed that they ususally stay out and have a few drinks after it. Don't know how I'm going to get out of that one.

19th December - Work's party night, which is a 3 course meal along with a few drinks lol.

Christmas day - Me and David are going to my Gran's house with all my family which will be really good, should be able to avoid most carbs but noone in my family knows I am on Atkins. Don't know whether to say or not? After my grans Sarah and Russell have asked us round to theirs but we will see what happens.

Hogmanay - Who knows.... :p lol

As will be off in between Christmas and New year should be able to get some good gym sessions in to loosen up the damage done lol.

Hope you are getting on good on weight watchers! xx

Oh my god you have such a jam-packed Christmas planned!! lol I'm sure you'll shift that 4lbs before the end of the month, you're doing so well. And 7lb next month sounds like a realistic target considering all of the festivities!! :D

Christmas is always the worst time of year for diets!! lol Good job you have your gym to fall back on, haha - i think my dog walking will increase ten fold :D

I've booked two weeks off this year and i'm going to enjoy every second of it! Me and Ben are cooking on Christmas day so i can keep an eye on how things are cooked and what's going into the meal lol! Still i think Christmas day will be my day off haha! x

I've got 12lbs to to hit my xmas target and 2lbs to loose this week to get my 10% Yayyy!! :) Fingers crossed!

Morning Kirsty, same here, my diary for December is full. :D

Hey all! How did all of your mondays go?
Mines wasn't too bad. Was first day on my own on the front line in the office and wasn't too bad. Am being given more work now and with all the telephone enquiries we get and people at the front desk I had a pretty fast day which was good for a change lol. :p

I found out today I have 6 days annual leave to take and am going to use them for christmas, so I'm going to have two weeks break! yay!! :D

Diet wise had a good day, chicken salad for lunch. Gym session - 3 sets of 20 on two leg machines, 5 minutes on the arm machine, 25mins on the x trainer and 20mins on the bike.

Went to see my friend Jackie tonight before the gym and my nephew Nathan as it was his 2nd birthday today, he is so cute! Gave him his toy cars pressies I bought him and he loved them! He was like "oh wow!" it was so cute! lol and he played away with them. I was really happy as had no idea what to get him...
