Not really, the prick is at work all day, no sign of him saying when he's moving out unfortunately! I'll give him a few more days and then mention it.................subtley.......................like a sledgehammer!! lol!

Afternoon ladies, glad to see everyone is up and about, just cleaned off my paintbrushes, now popping off to asda to give someone a piece of my mind, then wash and hoover the car before the rain comes back Give you a little tip for when your kids are older, DO NOT let them decorate thier own bedrooms, it is going to take me all week to sort lukes room out, he has managed to paint the light fittings, lights, all the plug sockets, and he left all the brushes in his room without cleaning them, so they are rock hard and useless Oh and by the way I WIN

it was brilliant. Such a good atmosphere. I'm kinda annoyed with myself as if I'd carried on training properly (I had a blip in June after the RFL and was ill for a bit and never quite got back to it), I'd have smashed my time from last year.

I speed walked most of today, but still ran (well jogged!) when I could. My legs just wouldnt work for me though Still, I'm a happy bunny, especially now I can sit on a soft seat Not sure I can get up again though lol

awwww thank you. haha at the room. sophies room is a disgrace she has pulled half the border of and drew on the walls with chalk nice so not doing anything to it until she older!!

Do you want a slap??, changing my words, off to asda now I bought a DVD on saturday got it home and i couldnt get it out of the box, i found a little red security strip that ran across the bottom, so i pulled it out with a pair of plyers, but it scratched the DVD and is unwatchable. :cry:

They should have done it when i bought it, she scanned it so it beeped on the till and deactivated it, so why didnt they remove it first, it didnt activate the alarm when i left

No no no no no no no no noooooo!!!! Never pull those alarm strips out with pliers! Hope you're lucky asking for a replacement - you might get some jobsworth on Customer Services who says "it's your fault for using pliers on the box sir, you should really have brought the dvd straight back to the store for us to remove it properly blah blah blah!!" I agree that the colleague (that's what we have to call other workers lol! ) should've checked for the red strip before she scanned it, she must be new staff!

Sorry Allan that's where you're wrong, the scanner only scans the barcodes, it doesn't deactivate any alarms. There is a special little alarm remover on the right side of each checkout that takes out the red strips, booze bottle tags and razor blades cases, the alarm pad on the left side after the scanner is for small electricals, clothing, and the cd's and dvd's with those tiny plastic strips on the back. the chances are that the alarm may have gone off at the exit but no-one took any notice 'cos the strips can only be deactivated by removal.

Here endeth the first lesson in the various alarms used at Asda!
