Lauras Diary of Incubating

36+6 -- 28/11/2013 -- THURSDAY

Morning everyone. Nearly 37 weeks....if I make it through today and tomorrow it'll be the longest I've been pregnant YAY!! I still have the feeling that I'll go over though so not too worried.

Finally slept last night. Couldn't keep my eyes open at 8p.m so headed off to bed and went straight to sleep. When hubby came to bed at 11p.m he said I was flat out snoring and baby was flat out kicking. He can't understand how I didn't feel it lol. I didn't waken at all (except to turn over) until 6a.m to go to the toilet. I was bursting, nearly had to run. Woke up completely dosed though, sore throat, sore head, runny nose and generally feeling of crappiness. Got up then at 6.30a.m because my DS was awake and having a chat (he has a chest infection so isn't sleeping well).

Since I got up I've made my DD's school lunch, made breakie for all, made the stew for dinner, cleaned the kitchen, dressed both kids.....was happy to let hubby have a lay in for a wee change. But I am beginning to flag again. Might put my DS down for a nap and maybe have one myself soon.

Can't believe I'm 37 weeks tomorrow. Time has really flown with this one. Its gonna be a busy day tomorrow, but I think I'm gonna give mother and toddler a miss in the morning to be fit in the evening. Santa is coming to the local hotel at 7p.m that evening. He is arriving on a horse drawn carriage with Mrs Claus, Minnie and Mickey Mouse and peppa pig. There will be christmas carols and a disco after. They give out tea, coffee and mince pies to everyone and sweets for the wains. It be's a really good wee event and the kids love it. Ohh and then the Late Late Toy show is on tomorrow night too!

Ah no, you have the cold too :( I could feel it coming and woke up with it this morning. At nearly 38 weeks it's not what I needed! Hope you manage a bit of rest during a busy day.

The evening sounds lovely for the kids! Bet they love seeing Santa and all the Disney characters! Can't wait to be doing stuff like that in a few years with little dude... :D

DD loved it last year, it'll be the first year that DS understands a bit of what is going on. I think I look forward to it as much as the kids, I love Christmas, my favourite time of the year. We aren't gonna actually go visit Santa on a one to one till the baby comes though (hopefully), I want all three in the picture. I'll have to hope and pray though lol.

Yeah I hate having the cold, can't even take anything remotely useful to shift it either. Hoping it ******* off before labour as don't fancy trying to push this baby out while hardly being able to breath!!!

Oh god, hadn't thought of that! My nose is well blocked too :( I would normally hit the spicy food to try and sort my nose out but after my nachos/heartburn incident the other night I think I'm best off steering clear.

Hoping for a baby before Christmas for both of us then, I'm not fancying spending Christmas Day in hospital/in labour/still waiting!

Oh God yeah I am really worried about still being in, or baby still being in on Christmas day. I don't wanna miss Christmas morning with the kids. I think my daughter would be upset a bit too, but I have her well warned just incase. But sure we've no control and what will be will be x

That Santa thing sounds fab!! Sounds like they make a real effort, unlike where I live ;-) I've heard they do a brilliant winter wonderland type thing in Hyde Park in London so might go down for that in a couple of years when bubs is a bit older.
Yay to nearly 37 weeks!! Xx

Yip they really do make an effort and they don't charge anything unless you go into santas grotto or to the christmas play, then its only €8. There is a really good one an hour away too but its too far this year. Ohhh I love all this christmassy stuff

That no control thing again, it does me in every time. Gaaah :/ In reality I don't mind when he comes as long as he's healthy but I would love to be at home for Christmas. My best mate wants him here by 21st December as she's coming up from the south to visit for one day only lol so I have my orders! ;) x

Girls honestly... Bed rest, honey and lemon in hot water and vicks rubbed on yer feet is the way to go...
When I was smothering a few weeks back it worked wonders for me... I used manuka honey but have since found out there's no real difference, its a marketing ploy from the producers of manuka... But if you feel its better, use it...
I didn't even take a single paracetemol and it shifted in 3 r 4 days... And was bad enough for me to laid up in for a full 48hours... I have never in my life done that!!

I've had honey and lemon this morning, plenty of 4head and have had some paracetamol as well. I really want to stay in bed but have to go out :(

My god Frances I did not know where you were going with that for a minute.

Hubby was home for a little while. He's just put the kids to bed and he's off to footy practice. So I'm chilling on the sofa with my box of tissues and a Turnocks snowball

Hi Laura,

How are you? Hope you're having a good weekend and you're managing to get some rest! Not long til bubba no 3 is here :D xx

Hey Jess, I'm having a great weekend. Was my godchilds birthday today, so me and the kids went to her party. All my sisters and mom and dad where there so nice catch up with everyone. Then we went up to the farm to watch hubby trying to catch a ram ha. Then went up to my moms to chat some more with my family. So grand lazy day. Legs are tired now though, busy couple of days with walking.

Still having lots of pressure but feeling relatively light so can't see this baby coming anytime soon. Its typically really, I've had all the extra care incase it came early and now I'm here at full term waiting patiently with a real feeling this one is gonna decide to be a christmas baby eeeekkkkk
