Licking the Lid of Life....my esoteric diary

Nice one on the tops Sam.... We watched a Lambretta engine rebuild DVD much to the delight of her in doors... NOT !!! Ha ha ha

Haha that's awful, your poor missus! Although I get stuck with football all too often. Hmmm

its so nice to be able to shop for nice things and I am such an eBay queen. Drives husband mad. Parcels arrive and he is all "now what have you bought?!" My argument is that at those prices it would be rude not to. Plus I had NOTHING for the summer. Literally got rid of the lot. Now I have some clothes. Always a plus!!

I love ebay, but try not to go on there too much, my downfall this month has been Amazon, I pay for the stuff on my credit card & to limit my spending it comes out in full out of my account at the end of the month, so I got my bill at the weekend & honestly thought, what the heck have I bought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've now worked out my spends;)

Pics of purchases would be nice x

Once I have them I will :) amazon is good I agree although the 1 click purchase is particularly dangerous because there is no delay! Argh.

I know the 1 click purchase is scary, I'm now on a mission not to spend too much, just need to buy some hair stuff this month & that's it I think.

I bet there is something else. My new shopping crush is Etsy. Oh my...the hand made goodies. :)

Never done amazon shopping will have to try it I think !!!

I'm another ebay and Amazon addict ... and as for the ease with which I can buy books on my kindle!! Add in the sneaky hobbycraft orders and it's no wonder my dining room looks like a craft workshop, lol.

Ok I NEED a soup flask for going back to school with. Another 3lb off this week and I swear its all the homemade soup and scan bran I've been having every lunch time over Easter. I'm not giving up my advantage. I'll have a look in sainsburys today for one!

i want one of those, no need for one, but want one, lol

I know they're so cool - I thought it would be good for chunky soup or stew :)

Come, join the power of the dark side .....

omg that's so weird. I've been eating home made soup every day for lunch and was thinking about getting one of these!!! How spooky

Great minds think alike :D

Brilliant loss again this week Sam, you are on a roll lady!! (Gonna get started with my soup after the Easter weekend)

I'm just finishing off a batch of butternut and red lentil (with chilli!) which is nice and my next project is curried parsnip although I'm a bit hesitant as that's less superfree and more free and may not have the same effect. Maybe if I pack it with onions too. I'm quite enjoying experimenting and have found a few super speed soup recipes on here that may fit the bill. I have never been a big soup eater as I like my food to have the "chew factor" (note to Simon Cowell, no you can't have the name for a new reality tv show I have trade marked it) but home made stuff is nothing like tinned and I tend to use stuff like lentils to make it thicker and more stew like :)

Someone a class this weekend said they put scan bran in their soup as it thickens it up.

Well done on the loss, you're doing really well x

A little bit of parsnip goes a long way I find ... I wonder if using half swede (which lends itself to peppery/curry flavours anyway) and half parsnip would taste as good while being more superfree? :)
