Where are you? Following Skinny Rules with lower cals and have lost 2 pounds since Sunday.

Sorry guys :)

I had a grumpy couple of days, blew a DD, overdid an UD - all because I know I was going back to work and all I'd seen was rain during my 2 weeks off, etc. Silly, but I think most of us are familiar with the phenomenon that is comfort eating  :sigh: coupled with the realisation that I'm not going to have another holiday this year. Double :sigh::(

So I finally managed a good DD yesterday and had an okay UD today so I think I'm back on track. I've knocked the daily weighing on the head for now though cos I think the getting into a rotation thing is probably more important than whether I'm losing weight right now.

Head in right place = weight loss will follow (at least, I hope so!)

Thanks for keeping an eye on me. :grouphugg:

I'll try to do better!

We all know too well thats why we are all here ;) x So good for you for climbing back on board it was a tiny blip anyway, onwards and downwards eh xx

Hope that you're ok Lily!

Just get back to it! You'll do great!

Morning Lily we all know how your are feeling but just wanted to say if these anyone who can get back on track with a positive attitude and start a fresh it's YOU!:) xx

Indeed!

I must admit this weather is a scandal. I feel thoroughly lacklustre with all this rain. Great news that today is going to be the MOST rainy day of the year with 3 inches falling in 24 hours. Great. Mental note. Must leave house with wellies and a dinghy.

In terms of the wonderful world of weight loss. I am experiencing struggles too. I don't have a big enough swing on my days. I'm finding it interminably hard to get all my up day cals without my old foes cake and chocolate. Which I know will affect my weight loss and so the fight continues.

Lilly. Work, life, balance? I know that's what I need to find! How about you? ;)

Morning Lily, hope you have a good day x

Oh yay! Rowing is right up there with elliptical machines for fitness and calorie burn! Look at you Nat... Always seek g the bright side! ;)

((((((HUGS)))))) For you Lily... TGIF!

Already failing on the "Skinny Rule" have breakfast within one hour of getting up! Ah, not really a "fail" it says "try to" -- I set it up, but don't have time to eat until DD is out the door. Porridge, some Lineoods flax, cocoa berries, etc. mixed in and 1/4 cup of blueberries.

Lush breakfast mel!

I have to eat when I get up. Is that right or wrong according to bob?

Drink 16oz (2 pints) of water first, then eat. 2 cups of real coffee okay - then switch to decaf. No caffeine (even decaf coffee has a little) after 5. Berries (blue and strawberries are Bob favs) -- the 3egg white one whole egg omelet with tins of veggies and wee bit of cheese (if essential) and herbs - no salt added another rule. Bob loves oatmeal!

Bob is actually on my oatmeal box!

The FlyLady would hate my cluttered counters, but they work for me! Lol

Is that all for breakfast? Or just a general rule? Today I'm having smoked haddock. I fear that's probably quite salty!

I was listing some breakfast suggestions. He gives a month of menus (and for men and women).

The omelet would be with some fruit and a slice of what I call lead bread - toasted. Probably no or very little butter. Certainly not jam!

Another breakfast could be the oatmeal, fruit and added sprinkle.

Another his super smoothie!

The haddock with some fruit and maybe the lead bread would be another.

Remember bread, pasta, etc must be eaten before 3. No carbs after lunch!!!

Oddly I don't touch bread as a rule unless I'm visiting the inlaws and it's freshly baked.

But that rule must extend to chocolate and biscuits I guess!

Haha! That's my downfall. I so need to keep on track with this. Bobs advice is sound. I probably won't buy the book though as I'm getting embarrassed by my weight loss library, it's a close second to my self help library for cringe factor!

Unless you are interested in the recipes - the rules have already already been posted on this forum a few times and if you need clarification you can ask someone with the book. ;)

It was just released in May. It is getting rave reviews and at the top of diet and health book sales lists. Might be awhile.

LOL :8855:

That's the wonder of Kindle - no one can see your embarrassing collection of self help books! Or 50 SOG.... (yep, I caved and read it but was far from entertained. I haven't bothered with the other 2 books in the series. In about 5 years, if she practises, the author's grasp of writing may improve... B1tchy I know, but you can get far better stories (with the same sort of subject matter ;)) absolutely free on the Internet if you know where to look - which I do, funnily enough.... ;) Ahem. Cough.

So, I've made it through my 2nd DD - yay me! :) It sure helps that OH is doing it with me (JUDDD, you dirty minded folk... :D). It's far easier to stick to your guns when folks aren't scoffing in front of you.

TGIF!
