Lisa's 3rd time lucky Green Day diary

Slim for Summer
Hi


I have done slimming world twice before once to class and once alone in 2012. I lost 1stone 7lbs the first time and a further 5lbs the second time. I just couldn't stick to it.
I am a vegetarian so stick to Green Days only,
Unfortunately, I put most of the weight back on and I am now back up to 12st 9lbs.
I would like to get down to 10st 7lbs.
I started back at slimming world group on Monday 7th January 2013


Monday 7th January

Breakfast - fat free yoghurt, apple, grapes and 2tsp honey(2syns)
Snack-
Dinner- Spag Bol - quorn mince, passata, onion, mushroom, peppers, pasta. Extra virgin olive oil(hexB), 2 babybell(hexA)
Snack- protein shake(6syns), clementine, banana
Tea- 3 egg omelette, mushroom, 2 babybell(hexA), beans
Snack-apple

Syns- 8. 8/105
Gym- weight training and cardio

Tuesday 8th January


Breakfast- ff yoghurt, honey(2)' apple and grape bag, hifi bar(hexB)
Snack-
Dinner- jacket potato, lettuce, 2 babybell(hexA), avocado(9.5) and beans
Snack- Bachelors cuppa pasta(1.5)
Tea- spaghetti, quark, mushroom, onion, 3 dairylea triangle(hexA)
Snack-

I was gutted when I realised how much an avocado was, I love them but they are not worth that amount!!! Also I didn't cook my jacket for long enough so was solid :(

Gym- cardio

Wednesday 9th January


Breakfast- 2 wm bread(hexB) and 2 scrambled egg
Snack- apple and kiwi
Dinner- lettuce, onion, pepper, 3 boiled egg, quorn ham slices, 2 babybell(hexA)
Snack- banana
Tea- quorn sausages(3), 2 egg, beans, mushrooms and wm bread(hexB)
Snack- apple

Syns- 3
Gym- rest day

Breakfast- 35g porridge oats(hexB) milk(hexA)
Snack- apple
Dinner- lettuce, jacket potato, beans,2 boiled egg, 2 babybell(hexA)
Snack- alpen (3)
Tea- stuffed peppers, rice, veg, korma sauce, 2 medium popadoms (30) eat out at restaurant
Snack-

Syns- 33
Gym- weight training

Yay a fellow veggie :) Your food looks great, that weight will come off before you know it
 
I hope so :) I just need to avoid. Chocolate and I will be fine ha xx
 
Friday 11th January

Breakfast- 1 wm troll hexB), egg, ex virgin olive oil(hexB) 1 light babybell(1/3hexA)
Snack- banana
Dinner- mugshot to go cheese (2.5)
Snack-
Tea- subway salad. Lettuce, onion, sweetcorn, peppers, cucumber, jalapeños. Sweet onion sauce(2), cheese (hexA hexB)
Snack- apple

Syns- 9
Syns week - 66/105. 39 left

Do you like green and blacks chocolate? Buy a mini box set and each bar is 15g, from 4-5 syns each. perfect for a measured dose of chocolate :) i too love choc and now ive found the mini bars i don't have to worry about having a massive bar open

Oooooh yeah only the milk and white though. I don't know whether to cut chocolate out because I crave it like hell. I know I can have it but done want my sweet tooth back :/ xxx
 
I used to have a really sweet tooth...would crave sugars...but now I'm on SW I find I crave savoury food instead? And when I do fancy sugar, I really enjoy it. It took about 6 weeks so I don't know if that is the refined sugar weaning out of my system. But don't ever cut it out completley - as you will binge at some point when you are feeling weak. I guess you just got to find a way to tick the box when you fancy some chocolate but not have it in a way that you could damage your weight loss.

When I buy big bars of G&B (maya gold ummmmm) I look up the syns for the whole bar (gasp!) then measure it out into small synned portions (2-3) and wrap them all up seperatly, that way if I fancy a choc hit I don't have to sit in front of my laptop with a massive bar open. Plus can always go back and get another one if its within my limits for the day :)

Good luck with it though, i was worried about cutting out sugary stuff but I don't miss it as much as I miss bread, drowning in olive oil :(

Ooh I might do that then :) it was my friend at works 40th birthday last Monday and she got a massive chocolate cake. I was asking people to tell me it was horrible ha so I didn't cave. Xxx

Hiya - just having a nose at your diary. You've been very disciplined. What's the thing with the protein shakes? I've never understood. Is it a muscle building and repair thing??

Hi... Nose away :) the protein shakes are just for muscle repair, they aren't bulking ones. I do alot of weights and they stop my muscles from aching. When you train muscles naturally tear and it just helps them recover faster so I can train again the next day. Plus I'm a veggie so I only get my protein from eggs really :) costly syns though :( xxx
