Thanks ladies. Good news - I got all my Christmas shopping done. Bad news - I ended up in A and E. my ear drum ruptured and I have done permanent damage to my hearing. Doctor there said it should only be mild though.

Ohh god that sounds painfull!!! Hope the hearing loss isn't too bad. What are they gonna do for you now?? Do they fix that or leave it to mend itself?

Have me on loads of meds and then have to go back in next week for an appointment to see how it's going. Thanks ladies

I ruptured my ear drum earlier this year too so I sympathise completely! One of the most irritating pains in the world! ^^ Good luck for your appt next week, hope the permanent dmg is nothing serious, I got told I'd have permanent damage too but I can't notice any difference! Ouch! Sounds painful. I know a few people who've had that happen, and they say the same as Jaly/Libby - that they haven't noticed any change afterwards. Hope the same goes for you. xxx

WI today - STS. I'm not overly concerned. Hit my points exactly. My body seems to be on a 2 week cycle. Will gain a small bit or STS on one week and then lose a decent amount the next.

Haha thanks. It's STS too I'm afraid Went back in to hospital today to be reassessed and they said nothing more that they can do but increase my dosage. I'm going to try going back to work on Wed. They said it won't be healed for 6 weeks but I really wanna go back. Girls in school said the kids are all wired coz of Christmas. But I genuinely think if I explain to my class I need them to be calm and quiet coz I can't hear them otherwise, they'll listen. They're super good! (I hope I'm still saying this on Wed )

Yeah go back to school if you think your fit. Sure only a week and a half left then till off for Christmas, you'll go mad in the house otherwise I'm sure. I really hope the meds do something for you! x

Well done with STS very good for December. I had a 3lb gain opps. Not lon till the new year and I'm sure ill be well back in it!
