You've done well on both those days Doreen  and the half pound gain is nothing is it - just equal to two quarters of dolly mixtures! Glad u'll be seeing the children soon - well worth the drive I'm sure!! I'm chuffed that tablets are putting me off food - but u may have noticed that I still had a little choc brownie! ;)

I did notice the chocolate brownie! And the onion rings you gave to your hubby! Don`t matter why just that you didn`t eat them.
I am pleased with the last 2 days. Had a few more syns but enjoyed them.
DIL Mum is here for a couple of days and fetched with her quiche worth 13syns for 100g and minced beef pies. I never had any of those. She knows I don`t eat them but says she forgot. I am pleased that I didn`t because I now feel angelic ;)

Well done 'Angelic Doreen' - know exactly what u mean when we pass up on syn-ful food - but them I also know how it feels to be 'Devilish Linda' when I'm stuffing my face - ha ha!!

Hi - hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and are on plan? Rain has stopped (finally) here with patches of blue sky but not very warm - but we're planning a walk this afternoon.

Does anyone have any suggestions for food I can take to an all day event on Tuesday - it's a national (Wales) children's festival - we'll be leaving home at 9 am and back home about 9 pmish - there'll be lots of varied food on sale but it's usually high in syns - I have a picnic basket and ice blocks but so far I've only come up with scotch egg, ham, salad, HEA - cheese, HEB bread, pickles, SW choc brownies and fruit but that doesn't excite me much and I'd like to stay on plan - any ideas would be very welcome :)

I`m not very good at picnic stuff. I sometimes take a pasta dish. You have to like cold pasta though. Usual some roasted or stir veg mixed in. If you wanted warm pasta you could take a flask of very hot water and rinse it through I guess - or the microwave -.

Do you like or know how to make sw quiche. I don`t. Low fat sausages. I like cold baked beans with cold sausages which I cook altogether the day before so the flavour of sausages is in the beans. Maybe some fromage frais to put on some fresh fruit. Don`t forget cutlery, no not to eat but to eat with.

Can`t think of anything else at present.
I should have looked before my visitor went, she is good at that sort of thing, mind you it usually includes cake. !!

By the wqay, we have no rain and not really expecting any today. Cloudy and sunny, too much wind for any dark clouds to stay.

Am missing my visitor and she has only been gone 20mins. We sat and watched a 3 hour Catherine Cookson film together this morning. Nice to have company I don`t actually have to look after. Come back soon Jan.

Hi - loving ur colourful writing Doreen - makes a change from black! Love that u had a realaxing day and I'm glad to hear ur off to see the grandchildren - it'd be good if u take ur computer to keep in touch too.

No not been on today - busy day - SW food shopping then SW cooking an preparing for our big day out 2moro - can't remember whether I've mentioned Poppy and some of her school friends have qualified for a national (Wales) competition and they're on 2moro - very exciting for her as it's her first time as an entrant - they've already won at local and county level.

The whole event is called Urdd Eisteddfod - there's no literal English translation but it's a large week long festival for the children & youth of Wales and they have lots of events and things happening (bit like a county show) as well as the competitions in dancing, acting. sport, art and crafts etc and as u'd expect harp playing and singing!! One of Poppy's friends came 2nd in the harp playing today. Hope u don't mind this long explanation of our culture on a weight loss website!!

So we'll be off early in the morning - along with SW friendly picnic basket!!

Then Phil said let's go to the pub for tea - so I had grilled sardines, couscous and salad (very good I hear u think!) followed by choc brownies and ice cream (hmm not so good!! Only had the sardines so I could allow myself the dessert!) Here's how the day went:

Brunch: 2 SW muffins and fruit salad

Tea: as above with Diet Cokes

Hello Upndown. I hope you enjoy your day tomorrow. This is a brilliant experience for Poppy and her friends. I hope you all have a wonderful day:)
