I need to be a bit careful about syns this afternoon as am visiting a friend so see her lovely baby, Poppy, who was born just before Christmas. REMEMBER: As much tea as you like, but NO CAKE!! When I get back from there I'll be popping to my local pub to have a chin wag with everyone, but no alcohol!! SO. Diet coke, Becks Blue (2,5 syns), Coffee (theirs is too string for me black though) or tea (no Redbush - but I could buy the landlord a box as a gift for the pub I suppose. He does lots of sorts of tea, just not my favourite. Might do that! Not sure if the plan is to get a curry tonight. If so then I'll need to save a HEx B and 6 syns for my prawn dansak. I quite fancy jacket potato with beans and cheese actually. Will muse on it (and probably change my mind a billion times!)....
.... Lovely to see Bethany and the baby, and another close friend, Laura (who I haven't seen since December) visited at the same time. No need to worry about her offering cake etc. It sound like she's been very reliant on takeaways and ready meals as too exhausted / out of routine to cook a lot of the time, so snacks for guests are far from her mind. I suggested getting a slow cooker so she has more healthy food, which might be better for her and give her more energy. Maybe (when I get paid) I can start doing some batch cooking to take round for her freezer - I don't want her to think I'm criticizing though. Will have a think about it. Poppy is still tiny, weighing 6lb 6oz. Loads of blonde hair already, just like her mum.
Pub was okay, but would have loved to have an alcoholic drink really. My OH turned up very drunk from the beer festival, talking arse very loudly. He's still down the pub. Hope he doesn't slip over on the way home, but I couldn't stay any longer. TV on Saturdays is rubbish though. Tea, Curly Wurly and bed I think!
