lumpyandbumpydiary

Hey lumpy,

Am taking this week of from my diet as its my wedding anniversary and we off I Newquay. I was out for a meal tonight as had it planned for weeks do I thought I will be careful and take a break this week. Will be back in Monday.

I have lost a stone so far but lets see what damage I do in the weekend as plan to have a few drinks but I hope I don't end up putting on much after my hard work.

Increase your water intake. It's best to start it with 2l and increase it every week by 500ml as that helps flush fat out of your system. Try and increase you water intake and see good results next week.

You are doing well so don't let the loss demotivate you.

you should be fine after taking a break, if anything it might jumpstart ketosis when you get back into it! my mum ate quite a bit of naughty food this week due to a virus and stayed the same so I would imagine you'll be ok.

enjoy Newquay and Happy Anniversary! x

after 4 weeks on ss, i'm finally finding a balance of what i like and what i don't like. at present i'm living off chocolate tetras, chicken and mushroom soup, choc mint shakes (made into mousse most of the time!) and chocolate shakes.its not a lot of choice but i'm such a fussy eater that i only like certain flavours although i have decided to try some new flavours for the mousse such as strawberry, for a summery taste. I'm hoping for a better weight loss this week when i weigh in tomorrow as i was a little disappointed with just 1lb off last time (although TOTM so not overly surprised, just frustrated!). am looking forward to my cheat meal next week too, ribs and chips followed by cheesecake mmmmm! need it to keep me focused!

I only stick to a few flavours aswell, until I get bored! But I am quite fussy too.
But if it works for you then go for it :)
Strawberry is lovely as a mouse! I've heard butterscotch is really nice too but I don't like it as a shake so haven't tried that myself.

i bought a strawberry flavour and may try it tomorrow. i also bought 2 choc oranges but they are yuk! hope the strawberry is better i'm really fancying blancmange for some reason! apart from that i've just stuck with my usual flavours, choc mint, choc tetra and chicken & mushroom!

How are you getting on? x

hey krissy! am doing ok this week thanks! havent tried the strawberry mousse yet, i've forgotten about it if i'm honest! will try it tonight definitely!

how are you doing this week? just looking at your losses so far, very impressive! you're over halfway there and doing really well :) xx

I'm doing ok! Hanging in there ;)
Just want to get to goal now but only another 8lbs and I'll see the 12's :)

OMG I tried strawberry flavour mousse last night and it was amazing! so pleased i bought that flavour and will be stocking up for next week too :)

Don't think i'll have a big weight loss this week, had a sneak peek on the scales, be lucky to get 1lb off but then I did have a 4lbs loss last week so maybe this is the start of a yo-yo pattern over the coming weeks as I'm settling into the diet. hopefully i'll manage to pull some bigger numbers by the end of the month to up my loss :)

I find in the end it balances out :)
Some weeks might be higher than average then the next week only a little! But its all coming off which is good :D

I really want a strawberry mousse now but I've been too lazy to make any shakes and surviving off tetras now lol

lol the shakes are hard work to make sometimes, the mousse is always a battle for me! i start off with my hand whisk to get the initial mix going then i use the blender and the hand whisk at the end to make sure that all lumps are completely gone, takes around 10 mins some nights! the choc mint is the worst i find, even in shake form i find it very lumpy and have to dedicate some time to making it extra smooth!

the weight is a bit yo-yoy in parts, i can see from a lot of people's signatures that they'll have an average of 3lbs then there's a blip (either big or little loss) in the middle! like you say it averages out in the end, its best to look at the month overall than focusing on the weeks :) i'm also trying to look at it from a lbs lost view rather than focusing on each stone mark i'm trying to get into as the ticker gets closer every week that way! x

I do love updating my ticker and stats after weigh ins, assuming its a good result lol!
I find the easiest way to mix the mousse is to mix the powders together first and use icey cold water. Think I will have to make one tonight now!

yes its definitely an incentive, i enjoy updating the ticker too, nice to see the scales moving down! the mousse can only be mixed properly by mixing the mousse in the packet first i think, i tried adding it to the shake after emptying it into the bowl and it just formed big lumpy goo bits after i added the water! waste of a yummy choc mint mousse :(

Eurgh I hate those lumpy bits, the first one I made was like that and it was gross!

so 5 weeks in and currently 20lbs down. really enjoying the quick weight loss that you get from this diet and even better, starting to realise that a lot of my eating was out of sheer boredom and bad habits. am looking forward to another month of SS (the weight loss that is, not so much the repetitive shakes lol!) it'll be worth it in the end, got a holiday and weekend away in June then another few days away in July so want to get as small as I can by then. i've ordered a few strawberry mousses for the coming week so looking forward to having them as a nice treat!

You're doing great hun SS is a pain but its so worth it for the losses! By your holiday you will be super slinky ;)

thanks krissy! yes I just need to focus on my goal for holiday and that'll keep me going! i've got a friend's wedding in august too so that'll help me get back on track after the holidays too as sometimes reaching goal can make you complacent so ive got regular things throughout the year that i need to work towards so if i do put on weight over the hols (which i'm bound to!) i can get back on a cambridge step before the wedding and refocus again!

i started reading your diary the other day at lunch but had to go back to work :( are you getting married this summer? x

Hey lumpyandbumpy, 20lb is really good. I am back on the diet today and have to ensure I have no more blips as have 6 weeks before I go on holiday and than come back and a further 6 weeks before my sisters wedding for which is my main reason.

I will weigh myself this morning to see what my weight is and start again.

You been really good and I hope I can stick to
The diet like how you have without any breaks as I feel really disappointed when I was doing well and than I have all these breaks
