morning all :0

Evening everyone. Sad that I am sat here posting on a saturday night - but hey!

It's been nice to have a day off work even if the weather has been a bit rubbish. Had my hair done this morning and then had to give my dad a life this afternoon and the day is suddenly almost gone. I have started picking some of the squashes from the garden - perfect for soup. Don't know why but I only really like growing things if they are a bit off-centre, so I am always the one with weird coloured tomatoes and strange pumkins and squashes growing.

Mung bean has had his first jabs and doesn't seem any the worse for wear for it. He will get his second lot in 3 weeks and will get chipped then too.

Anyone know how Vicky has got on at her dog show? Is she showing Hannah Banana?

Haven't eaten much apart from yoghurt and chicken over the last few days, to try and make up for my blip the other day, but I think it is good as I have got the cravings out of my system for a bit. I wonder if I ws feeling a bit stressed about going to the hospital (not that that is a valid excuse), but I feel a bit better about that now as I have my little op arranged now.

Family lunch tomorrow at a local carvery - so that should be manageable - meat and veg - and the roasties often aren't that special in those places anyway!

O.K Who's Mung bean???????? LOL

I'm coming to yours, I love squash soup. Perfect time of year for soups.

I think I'm in need of a meal cooked by someone else (pub/friends/OH). I'm getting sick of cooking. Because I'm eating alot of chicken I'm cooking different meals for me and then Chris and Millie has something else. We've always had the same food (even when weaning Millie) and I love that. OH well, it's for a good cause.

Enjoy your Carvery hun. Sounds yummy. You're dead right about the roasties tho. They're never that great in those places.

x

Mung bean is the kitten - there are pictures somewhere. I am sick of chicken - but it just seems so safe and easy!

I'm ok if it's chicken straight from the oven as it's lovely and juicey, but cold from the fridge...yuck!

I'm on the hunt for kitten pictures.......

Evening Manda - you're not the only one sitting on here on a Saturday night - I generally have no social life (moved around too much:))

Still I find no social life = no temptations = weight loss :D.... the opposite is true too

social = temptation = weight gain...

Glad mung bean is ok :) jabs are never welcome no matter what species you are!

As for your green fingeredness, I need a sprinkling of that - had loads of seeds but everything I grows dies or turns out minature...

Enjoy your meal out tomorrow :) x

hey there mouse hope ur ok hunny ere's my dan's kitten she was a wicked witch !!!

Evening all. the weather managed to cheer up here a bit so managed to get a nice walk in so that was good.

Survived my Toby carvery (more nostalgia, Jo?); had turkey and veg. No gravy, no stuffing, no spuds, no pud, no parsnips, no cauliflower cheese:cry:

Picked some more apples when I got home - just a bit sad that I can't eat them. Dropped some off at some of the neigbours. Also picked some squashes so think I will make some soup tomorrow. I love squash, but it's funny because it's not something that I ever had or had even heard of as a child! The Turk's Turbans are my favourite s they look so funky. I think I have said before that I have a bit of a penchant for growing things that look a bit different:D

Going to be watching X factor tonight - sad I know, but hey? May also fit in Aussie masterchef too - don't know if anyone has watched it, but it's really good.

Got a busy week lined up at work so looking forward to that. Have a good week everyone.
