Cheers AP lol. James I dont have that problem as I dont drink. (yes strange for a 23 year old) Well its great to have another male on here starting at the same time. LETS DO IT!!!! lol. I swear i am going to hit the people in my office with the cakes if they do not go away lol. (p.s i always put lots of lol's as i am daft)

Hi Lee & welcome

I started last Thursday & had first weigh-in last night (see above).

So far, so good. I thought the booze would be the biggest problem but I'm just drinking loads of decaf coffee & mint Tea at night instead. Not ready to go to the pub & have Soda yet though.

Hey Chaps, thought I'd drag this back to the top.

My second WI tonight & looking forward to it (convinced I've lost well again).

Most of the men must have completed at least one week by now, how about sharing on here success and frustrations?

Hi Sean

Great result for your first week and sounds sounds like youve had a good week this week
Im on 1st day of second week so interested to see what you lose this week
We both have same goal weight of 196 however if possible I would like to get an extra stone off so when go on RTM i have a buffer so to speak

How are you finding no booze im ok with it but did miss it a bit on sat night. I used to drink 2 bottles of white wine per night every night up until I started LL so im hoping to break that habit and when eventually get to goal maybe just have one bottle on sat night only.

Cheers

James

Ideally I'd also like to lose a little more, but as I can't ever remember being that light I'm having difficulty visualising it, and if the target isn't believable I know I won't try & reach it....

No booze is the hardest, especially over last weekend when I was stressed from work, my usual refuge wasn't available so I had to TALK about my worries!!!!!

Still, Mon-Thurs is getting easier and I'm sure this weekend will be better than last. Have to say though I feel fantastic and the lack of alcohol must be a contributing factor (can't remember ever going 14 days without a dring since I was 18).

Good to hear you guys are not finding the program too hard, and have had a great set of losses already!

Isn't it great when you get that "good" feeling back?
I was on a high for days on end when I began LL, but I guess it just shows actually how much of a low I was on before and didn't realise!

Enjoy your second week and best of luck for your WI's (not that you need luck, that's the beauty of this thing we're doing!)

Hiya!! Just popping my head round to grumble at you for your incredible losses - it's so unfair that you lose so quick!! Haha... just kidding, I know it is all relative - after all, we get period pain and to poke ourselves in the eyes with black pencil crayons - so it all balances out in the end :p

Plus we have boobs to use as a bargaining tool - mwahahaha... although, sh*t, they shrink on this bloody diet. Dammit!!!

Both your losses are incredible, I hope you are feeling duly motivated :)

By the way - DeckingJim - if you want to change the title of the thread now it is less 'inquisative' (to a more generic 'MEN'S THREAD' thing) you can do - just go to the main list of threads then double click slightly to the right of the thread title... and it becomes editable - da-dah!!!!

Byee xx

Hi Chaps

Week 2 weigh in last night, thought it had gone well and 8lbs lost!

Can't believe how quickly the weight is dropping off & already looking and feeling different. Really motivated to continue and puts the 'difficult' weekend into perspective.

Have lined up something to do on Friday and out all day on Saturday so with luck this weekend will be much easier

Well done Sean! Another 8lbs in fantastic!

And good plan for making the weekend easier, weekends are hardest and having something in the way of a structured day makes all the difference.

Enjoy week 3!

Well done chaps. You're all doing fantastic so far. I'm here to tell you it doesn't stop getting better.

As this seems to be the new blokes thread I had my last weigh in of abstinence last night (week 20) and shifted 4lbs. That's 109lbs (7 stone 11lbs) in less than 5 months. First day of route to managment today but I should still hit 8 stone next week with a bit of luck and a tail wind. :)

Well done Guy, that's awesome. An average of 5lb per week would do me nicely and would see me hit target at end April (which is the plan), so great to know that's not unreasonable.

Will be interested in how you get on moving to RTM after sugh a big loss

Congrats on your final abstinance WI Guy!
I too will look forward to hearing about your RTM experience, as I reckon that I'll be close to starting mine as you finish yours :)

Have to say though I feel fantastic and the lack of alcohol must be a contributing factor (can't remember ever going 14 days without a dring since I was 18).

Wow! That is a long time! It's great you see the difference and feel so much better for it! I quit drinking when I was about 25.....I maybe have about 3 or 4 drinks a year....lol Party animal me.:D I just hated the way it made me feel after - wasn't worth it. But I know a lot of you brits like it - so its a great acheivement for you! Keep it up!

Well done you guys - you are all doing really well.

Man Talk hey Jim, well then what is it you want to discuss exactly. I know is this the thread we moan about partners because i was thinking recently, why do women ask this question.

"What are you thinking"

Is it mean or does that wind you up men on this forum and ladies why do you ask this question, you probably wont like the answer if we tell the truth

Good god, I never ask my man what he's thinking. It either gets me into compromising positions,:D, or hours of information I really do not understand - or want to understand - i.e. cars, motors, the all wondersous adventures of space, etc. :D

Thats a very brave question to ask a mAN! :D

Oh God - and so stereotypical... that film 'How to lose a guy in 10 days' was hilarious - and I have learnt a few classic tips of what NOT to do or say to a man (who'd have thought it would be such a life changer, hahaha)... I only ask if they obviously seem to be working something out (counting on fingers staring at ceiling type stuff)... but not just if the conversation goes quite for 12.773 seconds. x

But most women?? It's because they want you to tell them how great, gorgeous, beautiful, happy they make you etc... or simply that you love them. We are an insecure gender at times. x
