had a chinese last night and some ice cream - it was supposed to be weigh-in night but i didn't go as i was really tired and had a long day. i still had my post weigh-in treat though

back from my GP's. got a prescription for diazepam for my flight next week. don't really like taking this stuff, but if it's the best way to get me on a plane. i really wish i'd love flying

My consultant wanted to put me on that but I refused it. Is it the sort of thing that has to be taken for a set period of time or can you just take it when you need it?

you can take it when you need it. i have to take 2 before my flight, but i will probably take one in the morning too, just to take the edge of my nerves.

it quite an addictive drug (better known as valium) so GP's only prescribe small amounts.

i've had it before for flying and they worked, but they made me feel very low for a few days after, but they are 'downers'

I really don't want to get involved with medication like that but I have considered accepting them to keep for emergencies!

my GP offered me betablockers but then realised i would probably die if i took them as i'm asthmatic.

i don't think valium will do you any harm if you take it very occassionally. it just takes the edge of your nerves. when i've taken it before it made me feel tired and carefree without being able to sleep!

i told my GP about my stress, which has improved so much over the past week so i'm glad i didn't go running to them, and he suggested st johns wort as i said i would only every use anti-depressents as a last resort if i was having a breakdown.

ahhhh that's where the relaxed feeling comes! my mum did her back in once and she was given a weeks worth of valium along with co-codimal - it works well as it makes your muscles relax, which normally overcompensate if you've strained something.

they're only addictive, like anything (alcohol/drugs/food), if you abuse them and take them excessively.

if you took them for a week you wouldn't be craving them - although you may feel a bit low for a few days afterwards.

i haven't gone to the isle of wight scooter rally this weekend ...am quite peed off. 1st time in about 10 years that i haven't gone. my boyfriend was whinging and saying it would be crap as all my mates had dropped out, so it would only be about 4 of us camping together. i would have still gone but he's moaning too much for me to enjoy it, so it told him to shove it!

the only reason i'm not crying and stomping my feet to go is because i know i can't afford it. don't get paid until thursday and that's holiday money! humph!

Have a wonderful time. But watch the sea - came back black & blue from attempting to swim, its soo stoney.. But good laugh.

that sounds lovely and romantic! my boyfriend mentioned proposing to me in Nice last year when we were there, but as he'd taken his previous girlfriend there a few a years before, i said NO WAY! lol ...i told him i don't want to be proposed to somewhere that reminds him of his ex - that's just wrong in my mind.

we go to villefranche beach - it's lovely but i've got some jelly shoes to walk in and out of the sea as it's like white kittylitter. there's soooooo many fishes in the water too. i'm a bit of a freak in the sea and don't go past shoulder depth....unless i'm on my rubber ring! lol and the only time i will snorkel is along the shoreline! ...i blame watching Jaws as a child with my issues with the sea.

where abouts was the restaurant?

i'm sooooooo borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrred today! had planned on doing a car boot sale this morning and when i woke at 6am it was raining, so i turned my alarm off and went back to slim. when i woke at 9am it was bloody sunny with blue skies grrrrrrrrrrrrr i could have done one afterall.

have decided to the rest of the week on success express as i go away on thursday.
