Got an engagement ring for her with some McMillan cancer Grant money I got. Was when we were still together and I was in and out of hospital and quite ill. I had planned to take her to Paris on a city break in the new year, when I'd recovered a bit and was back at work. Wanted to propose to her properly.

Ah well can't win em all!

Thanks again for all the support. Counselling has taken me dark places, childhood trauma etc.. Going to post thoughts etc in my food diary thread so if you want to see how i'm doing pop in on it or pm me. Obviously some things of a highly personal nature, what may have happened etc. I will not be broadcasting on this public forum. If you're interested and of a disposition who can handle what may turn out to be child abuse. PM me. Sometimes it's nice to get it all off your chest.

Have you tried singlewithkids. They ahve a fantastic forum. It has helped me. Just a thought.

Single with kids is a fantastic forum, and if you get the chance not sure where in the country you are the holidays and days out are brilliant to!!
