Mrs CC's Pregnancy Diary

I'm really pleased with how this weekend has gone. I can't believe how easy I'm finding it to eat well! This week coming is a busy one with lots of meals out etc, but for once I'm not nervous. I'm planning on having what I want within reason and aiming to choose something sw friendly. The one thing I won't be having is any deserts or puddings, as I'm still avoiding sweet things until I have my GTT on Friday morning. Tomorrow night I'm out with the girls and I'm planning on having a spag bol which comes with garlic bread, so I'm just flexi syning that meal. I'll be on plan the rest of the day.

Mondays food - just need to squeeze in some heb's!

Really chuffed with myself last night, had a brilliant night out, although was a little sad as one of my close friends is moving away so I won't be able to go out with them and see them as much. Sniff! Really pleased I stuck to my plan of what to have, even if I did have a couple of chocolates that werw passed round. Better than a pudding and chocs! Back on with SW friendly today.

Am so tired this morning! Am just glad it's my last one today, then I have two days off and I'm on shorter days counting down to xmas. I've got lots on though this next week, so not much chance for rest. I'm gonner have to get my head down for an hour when I get in from work before OH gets home. Can't wait!!

My food so far today has been on plan which I'm made up with. Usually after a meal out or little blip I go mad! There's also so much rubbish sweets and cakes around in work its hard to eat well!

The more I think about it though, this week is going to be a struggle! We don't have enough room in the freezer for xmas shop, so I'm having to do a few run down the freezer meals. So tonight dinner is veggie fingers and frozen potato wedges! Boo! Will be having veg with it to make up for it a bit! Tomorrow I'm up at my sisters so need to take something with me for lunch. I'll try and make some healthy sandwiches with my heb. Thursday and Friday I'm out for tea. It's just pub meals, nothing too fancy, but have had a look on both menus and can't find a huge choice of sw friendly food I fancy. I can see myself ending up with a salad! On Friday we're having xmas takeout at work for lunch, I have my GTT in the morning so will be starving! I just hope I don't go mad, a few slices of pizza isn't too bad!

I think that's the key, just don't go mad and have what I want within reason. Meals out and takeaways don't mean I then have to go on and have pudding and loads of sweets too!

For some reason I weighed myself today and I actually think I've lost a couple of pounds. I'm not sure if I should be happy about this or not with being preggers? At least I am eating healthy and eating plenty and I'm not going hungry so I won't worry about it too much.
 
I feel like this week is conspiring against me! We did the food shop last night, tescos had next to no decent fresh fruit and veg! So now I need to go to the shop again but wont have chance til tomorrow. In the mean time I've only got frozen veg. I'm determined that I WILL still eat as healthy as I can when I can!!

After a busy day yesterday at my sisters I'm having a lazy day today relaxing with my feet up! OH has taken the car to work today and it's lashing down here so I think a day on the sofa with the kindle is in order! I do find it so hard working shifts while pregnant, but at the same time I'm glad to have days off like this in the week on my own where I don't need to lift a finger if I don't want to!

I feel like my food is gradually getting worse and worse this week. I've gone from having salads and loads of fruit and veg to having next to nothing! I am trying to be on plan as much as possible, but I can feel a difference and I don't like it! I might have to get a salad when I have tea out tonight!!

Tomorrow is going to be a mare with my GTT test! I'm just gonner have to do my best with it and eat healthy when I can!

Low fat spread 4 syns

Pasta bake as per yesterday 2hea 2 syns

Tea will either be a chilli or salad depending how I feel when I'm out!
 
Last night went out the window! OH got held up at work and by the time he got home wasnt in the mood for going out. So we got a chippy instead. I was a bit disappointed having it, but only ate about half of it. I also had a couple of chocolates as well. I have noticed a change though cos a few weeks ago I would've forced all those chips down and had loads more sweets. So I am seeing improvement! Honest!

I'm currently at the hospital with my diabetes test. I have to wait until half 11 before I can eat anything which I'm not too happy about! Plus I won't get the results until Monday, so I'll be worrying about it until then. I can see today not being very SW friendly at all, but I'm just trying to stick to only having what I want/need and not binging! One day isn't the end of the world and back on it tomorrow!
 
Friday was totally off plan between not eating all morning, then having pizza for lunch and tea out. I was quite pleased with myself by showing some restraint with sweets in the office etc. I was off plan but didnt go mad.

Yesterday was Ok. II had a big cooked brekkie, bacon sandwich for lunch and pasta with a WW sauce for tea, along with a chocie penquin. So not too bad.

Last night I was up all night with a bad stomach, which is a bit scary when preggers! Today I've not had much of an appetite, had weetabix and milk followed by some cracker bread and laughing cow. I'll have a mug shot in a bit and something plain for tea.

I am gradually finding it harder to be motivated now christmas is approaching and cos I've finally had the blood test. I am glad I'm still able to exercise restraint while having things, so I'm not too worried just yet! Can't wait for work to end today so I can get home to bed!!

Just realised how little fruit and veg I've had today! Must squeeze more in! At least there's not loads of sweets!!
 
Cannot believe this christmas has probably been the healthiest I've ever had!!

It was such a nice day yesterday to spend with family. OH and I got spoilt rotten as well. We had specifically asked for no presents with baby on the way, we didn't have much to spend on others and wanted people to save their money for when baby arrivies. But everyone really went to a lot of effort to get us clothes, toys and bits for baby! I was so overwhelmed by everyone's kindness! Our baby is going to have to get used to being spoilt!

I also had a nice xmas present on xmas eve as I didn't get a phone call about my GD test. I was told I would hear by Mondayand would only get a call if it was positive, so I'm assuming no news is good news! Whoop whoop! I'm still eating healthy tho! These last couple of weeks have taught me so much.

Yesterday, I had a big sw friendly breakfast. We don't really do dinner on xmas day cos we spend it between OH and I's families and it just ends up we stuff ourselves otherwise! So we time our arrivals for after people have eaten, I had a turkey roll and a slice of cake mid afternoon at the inlaws while I was peckish. Then at my parents I had some turkey gravy and veggies in the evening. I had a bottle of alcohol free wine during the day (honestly wasn't worth it! Will make so with schloer next time!) and then tucked into some choccies at night when we got home and collapsed on the sofa!!

Today I was feeling a bit pants after the sweets last night, I ate less than I would've done usually, but still had a massive sugar rush. I've had boiled eggs and toast for brekkie. Then we got out for a walk this morning. I've had some crackerbread and laughing cow light for a bit of lunch as well as some doritos. We have a turkey dinner cooking at the moment, which will get eaten soon. It's not too bad - yorkies, stuffing and pigs in blankets the only too naughty things. For pudding I have a ww pudding and some ben and jerrys frozen yogurt.

I know I'm not 100% on plan, but I am better than previous years and eating things in moderation so I'm happy progress is being made!

I've decided I won't be coming on here quite so much anymore as I'm keeping a food diary elsewhere. I'm also finding it a bit demoralising being on a diet forum so much whilst 30+ weeks pregnant! I just feel like with it being the new year etc and eating healthy I just wanna crack on with getting the baby weight off already!

I didn't track my food much over the last week. But I know I was sw friendly at least some of the time so am pleased. Today I have gotten back on plan 100%. I have 10-12 weeks until baby arrivies (fingers crossed if he doesn't turn up earlier!) so my new years plan is for these weeks to be 100% on plan. I weighed myself yesterday and weighed in at 12st 10lbs! Eek! I had hoped I wouldn't go above 13st while preggers but I'm now aiming at keeping my gain to a maximum of 13 and a half stone. I know as long as I stick to plan I'm doing what I can to be healthy for baby and keep the weight gain to a minimum. I'm planning on not weighing myself again for another month so will be interested to see what it comes out as!
 
Ha ha ha! I just cannot stay away! I'm feeling really motivated to eat healthily at the moment and am finding I'm coming on here more and more to keep my motivation going!!

I've been 100% on plan since 2nd Jan, although it has been tough going as I have been really hungry and really tired. It's hard not to reach for chocolate and sweets when its like that, but I've stuck to free and super free foods. I'm also finding it quite stressful at the moment with being so tired and work. I feel like I have so much to do before I leave and I just wanna leave now so I can have a good rest! So I'm feeling like I wanna pig out when I feel like that, thankfully I've not given in! I think I might have to start having an afternoon nap!
 
Ended up wolfing down a load of celebrations tonight which I'm a bit disappointed about. I've been feeling a bit hormonal today and I think this is what caused it. Going to go syn free for a couple of days to make up for it.

Hahaha! I wouldn't say I was an inspiration! But I'm glad it's given you reassurance that it is tough. It is a lot harder than I expected it would be between sickness, tiredness and hormones playing havoc with appetite. You're doing the right thing, taking it each day at a time and cutting yourself some slack on the hard days.

It is hard to be motivated in the same way when pregnant. It really has only been the risk of the having gestational diabetes that got me eating healthier and even then since my results were ok I haven't got quite the same incentive. My motivation is being healthy for baby and giving myself a bit of a helping hand to shift the weight once he's born.
 
I honestyly didn't think it wud b this hard 2 stick 2 plan when pregnant since I'v managed 2 maintain my 3.5st loss 4 over 3yrs now - how wrong was I!? Lol! :D No point beatin myself up over it tho I spose! By sum miracle I'v managed 2 stick 2 plan 100% since goin back 2 work on Mon so I'm just gona try 2 keep it up 4 as long as poss!
