Well done muffy :)

Nice to see you back on here Muffy.

Decided to ditch the digital scales to stop the obsession with every single point of an oz so I'm using cheapy basic bathroom scales. I put off weighing myself for about 3 weeks and expected to have been back to 17 stone ish. I got back on the diet yesterday and weighing myself didn't seem at all appealing but decided its probably best to know a starting weight. Here on at 6.30 the second evening on exante and decided to get hubby to check scales while I stand dreading the result and to my relief he says 16st 2lb!!! I'm nearly a stone less than I thought I was :) so that really helps me to get closer to goal for my holiday (goal is 12stone by August 4th) so 4 months to lose 4 stone is so achievable and has given me the kick up the bum I needed xx

Muffy a lovely surprise to discover you are a stone lighter than you thought.:D

Day 2/116 done :)

Hi mere! Yes I am so happy I could be in the 15's in a few days :D I think the stress of moving and decorating this past week has knocked a bit of weight off. Nice to see most of minis still working hard :)

I'm not a post-a-hollic at the moment. Just a teeny post when I feel the need but I'm trying to catch up on diaries xx

Feeling fine. Just had a long long bath with music and candles so off to bed. Roll on day 3/116 xx

Well done on day two muffy :D

Thanks marge :)

Day3/116

Pleased I managed not to give in to a 4th pack yesterday. It proves I didn't need it I just needed to find something else to do with my evening.

Aches and pains as normal this morning but feel ok other than that. :)

Saw the Inlaws on Sunday so they all know I'm huge again and probably aren't expecting me to lose anything in the 4 months left before I go away with them. I'm hoping to stay on track 100% ts for at least 4 weeks then have a day off for my 2 middle boys joint birthdays in may then get back on 100%ts then have a day off for fathers day in june. then 100% TS again until August 4th when I fly out to North Africa :D so just 2 off plan days allowed, im being very strict!! im determined to show the in laws a slimmer muffy on holiday xx

Must try to drink more water today. X

That sounds like a very good plan Muffy. Good luck with it I can hear the determination in your post.

I've counted up my packs and I have enough to last 62 days which I think takes me to 10th June. Ill be ordering before then though as 70+ of the packs are bars so I need more shakes x that's it really apart from to say I've had a green tea and a can of zero this morning. The green tea tasted funny! Like hair spray :( yuk. Maybe it's because I've not had any for months xx

You'll show them, you could be a lot smaller by then! Well done on not giving in to the 4th pack too x

Thanks :) xx

It was my mother in law that really was shocked in 2011 after I got down from 17.4 to 11stone. I really want to do it again to show her I'm not the failure she seems to think I am but obviously more for myself :D

I saw my aunt on the weekend and told her I'm doing this diet and she'd seen me after I'd lost 5 stone on LL and put it all back on again and more. Her first question to me is "aren't you going to just put it all back on again?". That's all anyone ever asks me, but quite honestly I've got so much weight to lose, I can't be worrying about that just yet, I've got to get the weight off first.

I don't think you will put it all back on again this time as you sound in a very positive frame of mind.
I am going to set myself the target that if I ever get 5lbs above my target weight I will be straight back on Exante until it is off again. I think that is the way to stay slim for ever. Just accept that you may have to do a VLCD occassionally to maintain.

Yeah at least with this diet we don't need to rejoin or sign up or go to classes, we can just order the packs and get straight back on it.

I think thats exactly the way to go..

Keep a small stock of them in for an emergency week ...

That was my plan last time but it didn't work :( I knew I would feel terrible if I re gained but I just kept piling it back on and putting it off saying ill start next week. Next time I really will maintain as I've learned there is nothing worse than "I told you so" xx

Mere this is a great idea, and hope that this time I can manage it. But like Muffy, it didn't work for me last time either
I think though Muffy, its all about the choices we make. Utimately, we HAVE to make better choices.
I know it can be done, as I did achieve it for a couple of months. :)
We HAVE to continue to make good choices, to keep going for life.
I know, its much easier said than done. But as Mere says, we HAVE to have a cut off point, and if we go above it, we HAVE to be super strict with ourselves and get back on plan, no matter how difficult it is :)
The less there is to lose, the less of a journey its going to be ;)
You can do it Muffy :D
