So I'm on my second day and surprisingly I'm not feeling too bad, I'm almost having to force myself to make a meal as I haven't eaten enough. Think my stomach is getting use to the smaller more regular portions already. Love this diet!!!

Tuesday 28th I had 7% carbs, 47% fat and 46% protein. Higher fat than I would like but I had a butter sauce on my salmon.

I eat 60-70 percent fat. The Atkins recommendation is 65% calories from fat, 30 percent from protein, 5 percent from carbs.

It's a moderate protein, high fat diet, not a high protein diet. Have more butter sauce!

What things can you eat to feel fuller that are fat? I normally eat a lot of fish that's why my protein is so high

I forgot to mention yesterday I didn't have all of my carbs, as I went to be early and it was less than 1100 kcal. So I think these figures might be because I didn't actually eat as much as I should

Ahhhh okay I will pick some of that up tomorrow. I've been grilling...doesn't seem right to fry does it. Does adding cheese help?

Fry. Fry in butter or oil. Add mayo. You need to eat fat on this diet - I know it goes against other diets but it works in a completely different way. Cheese is good, cream and butter are good. 90g cheese and 4 tbsp of cream are the max daily recommendations.

Fried my breakfast and added mayo to lunch, tasty!

Just to let everyone know a bit of my history I was 154lbs march 2011 and at 5'9" that was pretty healthy for me. I got pregnant and as my dad had cancer I ended up taking early maternity leave...I did a lot of feeling sorry for myself through my pregnancy, and this is how the weight piled on. After having my daughter I weighed myself and I was 229lbs. After burying my dad a week before my daughter was due I knew I had to get healthy and look after myself for her sake as well as mine. When I weighed myself on Tuesday I was 193lbs. My first target is to loose 5% of my body weight which will be roughly 9.5 pounds and I would like to do this in the first two weeks of iduction. This is a chance to start my life again as I want it to carry on... Healthy and prosperous x

You'll do great! Good luck and remember we are all here to support! xxxxx

Are you allowed pork scratchings on induction?

Hello Morgan ... Sorry it's taken a while to say hi... Hope you enjoy this woe ... It turns the rule book upside down but it does work as long as you don't cheat... It's very unforgiving but very effective... :)

Hi alpaca I swear my appetite is going...fed up of the foods so cutting down naturally. It's so strange...loved the pork scratchings!! Didn't eat meat for years but started again since being on the atkins so I have variety

Yes... Appetite does become less and pork scratchings are great - as long as you have strong teeth! Lol x

Haha I'll strengthen them up with plenty of practice

I've cheated and weighed myself today - very happy with the results already but I am extremely hungry. This is the worse day so far, mentally and physically

Just keep loads of legal foods close by so you don't reach for carbs ! I have days like that too and it's just a case of keeping busy and keep snacking on protein and fat to get you through! Good luck x

If you're hungry, eat! I had a few starving days last week - keep some mini cheeses or ham slices nearby and eat! Never let yourself get so hungry you'll reach for the wrong food.
