Mummymorgons induction journal?

Yeah I'm like that too! I think because I've been up and down in the 13s I thought I would never get past it. But I will do this! Lol

Well done on the loss Morgon!! Great start ! X

Can not drinking enough water stall you? Or drinking lots of diet drinks?

Diet drinks can definitely stall. More water usually helps fat burning

I thought so! No more fizzy for me

It depends on the person - I drink and have always drunk a couple of cans of coke zero a day with no problems. But I do find I lose best when I drink a lot of fluid in whatever (low carb) firm.

Hi, I drink coke somedays and I don't think it affects my weight loss, but everyone seems to react differently.

I have avoided fizzy since starting but I am thinking I might have a glass tonight of diet coke - hope the citric acid doesn't affect me too much, although to make my water better I have been using a little of the powders I had left over from exante the peach one is delish! Just have to add the carbs to the days count, but does make the water more bearable later on in the day. Well done on the weight loss this week too xxx

Coke zero has no citric acid, only malic. In my opinion it tastes better too ;)

I think I'm going to move on to just calorie counting, as I don't see longevity in this diet anymore. Can't stand the thought of eating the same thing...

Oh MM don't its not just the same old stuff, have a look at ML's recipes there are some lovely stuff to have.
As for zero coke first time I had it, it was a bit sweet for me but I might give it another go.

It was a moment of weakness lol had a bit of beet root but didn't have chips! Haha will have to get recipes as ive just been eating egg for breakfast, salmon salad, cauliflower broccoli with chicken for dinner for the last 8 days!!

week 1 = -6lbs

No wonder you're bored! Try not to get into a rut. I have favorites I eat probably once a week but every day is different. Try courgette cut into ribbons with a cheese sauce made from melted soft cheese and blue cheese if you like it. Fried fish with celeriac chips. Cheese, tuna or ham salad. Salami crisps. Roast beef and veggies. Bacon, sliced turkey and cheese with mayo wrapped in big lettuce leaves. Steak, eggs and mushrooms. Burgers with cheese, sausages. There are a million things you can eat!

Also your menu sounds like it could do with a bit more fat in it?

To be honest I've only been eating meat for a few days do I find it hard. I don't like cow at all, had a steak and I won't eat it again. I'm gonna try that courgette things tho sounds lovely

week 1 = -6lbs

have you made the oopsie rolls? they opened up the diet for me from just being fry ups and meat, i also am trying to eat some fish now, some fish like salmon and tuna are very filling. Roast your veg too it gives it so much more of a substantial feel and less like a diet, i love roasted courgette, peppers, onion, tomato and even some mushroom in there, i usually springing on a little paprika and oil and roast them just lovely! can you eat chicken? i have always been a big meat eater but it must be hard if you either don't like it or have been a veggie xx

Ive not even had a mini fry up? I should do that! I like fish and I've eaten a lot of salmon, chicken is so so. I can handle bacon, so fry up is a good idea

week 1 = -6lbs

oh fry up is lovely, bacon, eggs, mushrooms in butter lo-carb sausages mmmmm
Oh and the MIM smothered in butter mmmmmmmmm
I started first week and went quite boring but then decided that I needed to just make myself make stuff, if you love veggies on my diary there is one for a cheesy bake its so nice!

Rose Elliot does a great low carb vegetarian diet, you might find some good recipes in her book. Do you like tofu? As you eat fish you can also have prawns, scallops, haddock or pollack or just about any fish you can think of with vegetable accompaniments like leeks, asparagus, spinach, cabbage etc etc. how about a haddock or any other white fish mornay - nice creamy cheesy sauce with leeks. Salmon or Tuna fillet chunks marinated in soy sauce and ginger then stir fried with peppers and mushrooms...

Oh and different cheeses are worth trying - fried halloumi is yummy. Or big flat portobello mushrooms filled with garlic and herb soft cheese. Rhubarb stewed down with a couple of sweetener tablets and some cream is a great dessert.

And have you tried cauliflower or celeriac mash? Cauliflower rice is great too - can have with stews or curries etc.

Morning Morgon... Some lovely ideas on here... Don't give up - its a great woe xx
