My 12 Week Challenge starting today - Anyone care to join? - LETS DO IT!!

Jolly you don't want to make yourself more sick, and think about it, you said you weight isn't moving on three. If you spent that little extra now and your weight started moving on the right direction, the. It's worth it as in the long run you lose the weight quicker!

Why not try four products for a week and see what happens??? If it works, in the long term you will get to goal quicker and therefore save money on the weeks you would still be using 3 products...

I completely agree with Sunflower on that Jillybeans....and consuming only 3 packets when you should be consuming 4 can create the real possibility of you failing to stick to your diet, since your body is not even getting the minimum nutrients and calorie it needs for your height, even on a VLCD.....Believe me, it is far better to spend more and buy one more additional CB packet rather than deviating from the plan and buying an unknown " off the counter " product which may hamper your weight loss results and render the entire SS plan ineffective...

I spoke to my CDC and she wants me to go straight to step 3 in May. I'm a bit confused about this tbh. No SS+ and 810? Do you know what her thinking could be for step 3? There is lots on this site for beginners to the diet, and SS and SS+, but not much on any of the other steps? Does this mean most people fall off the wagon after this step?

I'm going to see how I go the next couple days on 3 packs a day... I dont feel the need for more as I'm not very active (I have a desk job) ... I dont know, I guess my thinking is more calories = less weight loss....

she may be suggesting step 3 so u can add a meal?you could always do the three packets of whatever ur on now and a meal?

Ok Jillybeans...I can see you're having a tough time..try and see how it goes for the next few days with 3 packs...better to do the SS with 3 packets of Cambridge rather than buying a fourth unknown " off the the plan " packet...if you know what I mean...

Hi Jilly, I'm gonna have to butt in there :eek: Even if you're not active, calculate your height and weight - to see how much your BMR is, I GUARANTEE even as an "underactive" - 4 packs is still darn low, not to mention 4.
I think the reason you don't see many people posting about 810 is coz they're either on the maintenance posts, on their diary... OR not on here as it's not extreme therefore, you don't feel you need this place as much - you 'kinda' have a life :rolleyes:

I went to see my CDC today, been 100% - we talked about my going on to 810 in 45 days because of my training. She said that as an encouragement to get below 200 lbs (failed miserably in the past), I will NOT weigh myself. I will come in, she will weigh me - not tell me how much i've lost, just yes, no or sts. I agreed I needed to change tactics as I don't want to be a re-re-re-restarter. Giving my mom my scales tonight, will just rely on being 100%, drinking my water and seeing how my clothes fit.
An interesting fact, she saw that I hadn't attacked my water, she said you need to drink, I responded that I knew that already to flush out. You know what she said? The water is important in the weightloss because every gram of fat burn needs 4 grams of water :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: (glycogen) So that if I were to take my clone, ie be 100% but drink 1,5l of water vs 3-4, the one who drank more would have 2x more weight loss 2x as fast!!! Eye-opener ladies let's get to drinking!
 
Hi sweetaddict...I am afraid I am going to have to remove your from the mini challenge group if you do not update us with your progress today as well...this is going to be the fourth day that you have not updated us...you were doing so well...what happened? I sure hope you get back to us!!:)
 
Hi girls.

I have made a summarized table of the 13 day mini challenge for us to view our progress at a quick glance. It is pretty simple to understand. The green smiley:D means that we have followed the SS 100% and the yellow smiley :) means that we have followed the water intake 100%. If any smiley is missing it means we have not followed that part of the challenge 100%. Hope this table is simple and clear to everyone! I will also be updating this table at the end of each day. :)

Enlightenme2 are you sure you want to join this challenge? This is a 13 day minichallenge and it is Day 7 already....the mini challenge ends on march 31st 2013. So there are only 6 more days left. If you still want to join please let me know when you plan to start?

Sure...the next mini challenge will probably be in the next week itself, maybe next Tuesday or Wednesday...Because 12 weeks at a stretch sounds like a really long time, I think that breaking up this whole big 12 week challenge into a small series of mini challenges will help us to focus on the short term goals, which cumulatively added up, lead to us successfully achieving our long term goal....:)
 
Aaahhhh I'm struggling today :( going to the gym later and I'm already hungry. Considering having half a bar extra as I will burn it off at the gym. What the thoughts?
 
I'd probably have a whole bar if I was going to the gym! Maybe you could half it and have half before and half after? I'm normally crazy hungry after a workout. Although I don't know much lol, but either way I'm sure half a bar is better than anything else. You've done amazingly well so far! :)

Only had one shake today so far, weigh in as at 6pm but I'm really busy until then so I'll have a soup and shake after. Can't wait to start on the bars! x
 
Oh dear I've caved! I'm having half a bar cut into small bits from the fridge! Maybe have the other half tonight then its only 3 products. Have drank 3 litres so far.

Hey jillybeans, I know the feeling my gym buddy has cancelled after I ate my bar which now I won't burn off :( thinking it will be a very early bed time for me tonight!

Try get back on the plan tomorrow as you have until Sunday so it will make all the differen e :)
 
I have so far been 100% on plan today, but have developed a horrid nasty throaty cough. I feel ok in my body, but the coughing is horrible and hurts in my throat and mouth.

I read I the inspirations magazine that if you are sick you should step up a plan do you body has enough energy to recoup.

What do I do? Do I eat something more or just try to stick to it and see if I can get over the cough normally? My husband has suggested my normal soup as well as a banana...

Advice?????

Hi sunflower lady, how is your energy level? NOOOOOO, not a banana that is def no good, it's just carbs nothing else. Have some tuna, some chicken white you can put in your soup. Keep it hot and soothing, add an extra pack if you want - just don't go adding carbs. Get some Vit C too (tablet or drops) if you really need it.
