They messed us about when we first went in for a quote as we werent ready to order it and one of the girls we spoke to said it was ok and we could just call back when we ready but what she failed to tell us was that we wouldnt qualify for a discount which was £1.5k. Luckily someone gave us a courtesy call to see what we were doing before the offer ended. We had a moan at the manager when we went back and he said next time we were in store to go and see him and he would sort some discount out. We never bothered but after this mess up I reckon we will be taking him up on his offer.

My living room looks like a warehouse with all the boxes!!! x

True! I'm on a hen weekend starting tonight so I won't be weighing Friday as I know it will be an untrue weight due to alcohol but can feel I am heavier!! Looking forward to starting a fresh Monday

John was ready to ask them to take it all back however we got it on interest free and we've already started paying for it!

We need a large double radiator for the extension which will be between £80-£100, think we should suggest a free radiator! x

Definitely!! Jonathan has been asking for trade price for all our materials and most places oblige.. Some ask for proof he's in the trade but a business card does the job... He's a cabinet maker by trade anyway and had business cards made up a good while back when he was going to go out on his own.. He's gone to suppliers allot rather than shops and saved us a packet!!!
We got our floors at almost half price coz he asked for trade price... Just a lickle tip that might save ya a few pound.. Altho John has probably done that anyway.. But just in case

We've done the same... John has a B&Q trade account and all the building materials we've used we have bought direct from the builders merchants and they deliver them for free too... Soooo much cheaper than B&Q prices. I dread to think how much it would have cost if we'd let the builder buy the materials as they would have bought them from the same place as us and then added a nice big chunk on top of it! x

Yea Jonathan has the B&Q card too... Isn't it amazing the mark up they make?? I was shocked!! Like... A dimmer light switch in B&Q is (The cheapest!) €23... And like €3 from the supplier!!!! How they can justify it I don't know...

Well when you balance it out against what you would spend on food for breakfast, lunches and fruit it does balance itself out. You could potentially get HL items from a website (cant say which one as I will get told off lol) and it will work out slightly cheaper than from a distributor x
