My Diary

Dinner was as planned and then I walked again 3.4 miles in 48 minutes burning 445 calories (LOVE my new app) Home for a couple of corn cakes and a chamomile tea before bed :)

I have had a really good couple of days. I've resurrected My Fitness Pal to have a look at my calorie intake and I have yet another new app which connects with MFP for exercise. It seems that with all the walking I do I'm not eating anywhere near enough but I don't really want to eat any more at the same time. Not sure what to do with that!
Food and exercise is all good. I had an unexpected lunch out today but made the best choice I could see-sweet chilli chicken noodle bowl- and that was all I had. I made soup today too to do me for dinner for the week.

Feeling good!

I was using the "sports tracker" one, now changed to Endomondo because it synchs with MFP. I have no idea how accurate they are but they agree with each other! I have a feeling today will be a hungry one so I will eat more. So far I've had tinned grapefruit and tinned mandarins in juice followed by a low fat yogurt with some raisins. I did an extended school walk this morning which was 2.45 miles at 3.7 miles per hour burning, apparently, 476 calories. Hungry again now so will have something shortly. Have a great day!

I am feeling SOOOOO good at the moment I can't believe it. I'm in the zone like never before, loving my food and loving my walking too. I'm not expecting any miracles on the scales tomorrow due to my week off last week, a sts will do me fine so fingers crossed, then all down from there. I did a much extended school walk this morning, it's about 0.7 miles to school, then I left off the boys and continued with the dog ending up doing 3.84 miles, average speed 3.93mph burning 776 calories apparently. I'll do another extended one on the way back to school although it won't be as long, I won't get my usual walk tonight as I'm out at orchestra so that will have to do.
I have had a yogurt with some raisins and sunflower seeds so far and I'll get something more shortly. All good!

It sounds like your doing really fantastic. Take a minute to write down exactly how you are feeling on a piece of card and stick it on the fridge. It might be a helpful note to yourself to help you through other times. Go KittyBling!

Sooo, weigh in shows a STS as predicted. That's a loss of nearly 5 pounds which I can now admit I put on over the 10 days or so the previous week so I'm well pleased. Now onwards and downwards, still feeling good and I detect an attitude change which is interesting. More later!

Well done on losing the gain so quickly honey. Onwards & downwards for us both hey xx

So, attitude change. I used to think all the time I have to lose weight for the wedding/christening/holiday/reunion whereas now I find that I'm losing weight because I'm losing weight, not because I have a reunion (which I do) or a holiday (which I do) etc. I am losing weight to make myself feel better, look better, and be healthier and whenever it comes off is fine by me. I am also obsessing less about the scales, I now realise that if I keep on doing what I'm doing the weight WILL come off, and if it's a STS one week or a pound gain so what? It will come off if I keep going. Feels amazing if a little peculiar to think like this after so long of scales and working towards an event (and failing EVERY time) Good, eh?? :D

What a great enlightenment moment ! I agree iv

I think that's a good idea, Rach. I found that if I set a goal and didn't manage it (I NEVER did) then I was disillusioned and stuffed my face to make me feel better (like that would help)
