My Diary

I know a mile is a mile, but I used to walk about 5 miles 4 or 5 times a week so it doesn't seem like a lot to me but I know what you mean. I'm going to try to do that as many nights in the week as I can and add it to my school run walks and my Wii Fit stuff. I've just done half an hour on it with the new Wii Riiser, it makes a difference! I did some jogging, step plus, rhythm boxing and advanced kung fu. Wrecked now! Got to be good this week cos I'm not sure I could cope with a gain...
Must say a little bit of liquid lunch wouldn't do my in-laws any harm at all but I'm afraid it was a dry meal all round. There must be a happy medium!

You know i have no idea how far I walk. Doesn't really seem that far though.

I'd like to be able to use a wii but the only room we have which has both a tv and space enough to use it is the living room. and that's my parents "area".

I think I'd need to move out KB :p

get ya mam and dad on it! haha should be a laugh!

Nice one KB!! :)

Thank you, ladies, I am feeling good about this and yes, Alex I was saintly all week with my food AND upped the exercise as well. Of course, being human as I am I would have wanted 1 more pound to take me under 14 and under BMI of 30 and in to "overweight" category etc but then we are never happy, are we? Hopefully this week...

ahhh you'll smash the 14st mark this week hun1 its a lovely feeling to know u r not in the obese category!

hape u have had a fab weekend hun1

Afternoon all. Going to start posting food and exercise here, it's been a while since I did that and it might keep me on track.
No walking to and from school because the youngest has finished for Easter and the older one takes himself to the bus so missing out on that. Youngest is at a multisports thing all week 9.30-3 but it's in Belfast so I have to drive. Anyway here goes

Breakfast-Bran Flakes with a few sultanas and skimmed milk.
Snack-Apple
Lunch-My usual huge sandwich of wholemeal bread, ham, low fat cheddar, tomato, cucumber, pickled onions, extra light mayo and a laughing cow extra light triangle.
Dinner-I am going to try a couple of lean pork loin chops with vegetables and see how that goes with the Xenical.
Snack-Maybe a Muller Vitality yogurt or an apple.

Exercise-My EA Sports Active game and accessories arrived yesterday and I had my first go at it today. I LOVE it, I really enjoyed my workout and have started a 30 day challenge. That will probably be it for today but I may squeeze in a bit of Wii Fit later.

Have a great day, more tomorrow!

Lean pork chops are fine with xenical ;)

It's all a bit wet here!! :(

I'm loving the EA Sports Active too KB, although I haven't managed one of their full workouts...in fact I gave up on my first try, oops!
What I do like is that I can build my own workouts according to how much time I've got and how many calories I'd like to burn. I like the boxing and the dance best, so I base my workouts around those, and build in a bit of running or something like that for variety.
Good luck for the 30 day challenge, I think I'll cross that bridge when I'm a bit fitter :) My calves are killing me today after 20 minutes Wii Fit free step using my improvised riser on Sunday

It's all a bit wet here!! :(

Giving serious thought now to building an ark, am doing my King Canute impersonation at the back door but think I may be losing....
If this turns to snow and then freezes just think of the fun we'll have tomorrow trying to get anywhere.
I did enjoy my pork so hope they are fine cos I have more in the fridge.

Crossed posts, Alex. I managed my first day quite well I must say at moderate intensity but I think bits of me may feel like they're dropping off tomorrow... It really appealed to me, can't wait to see what they have in store for me for tomorrow.

Morning all from snowy Northern Ireland. Hope you are all well. Hopped on the scales today for the end of the March challenge and have lost 2 pounds! Yay! So now I am under 14 stone, have a BMI less than 30 and have made it out of the "obese" category and in to the "overweight" category!
Question is, should I count this as my weekly weigh in which usually happens on a Friday? Now that I have achieved all this I run the risk of the scales showing a slight gain, as often happens, on Friday and plunging me in to the depths of depression. But if I don't weigh in on Friday I might feel like I was cheating. I'll see how I feel then (and what the scales say!)
Have a great day everyone, I'm off to do my EA Sports Active despite my sore bum from yesterday's exertions.
