My new best friend......

Yes he's pretty ugly but tastes delicious.....I'm in heaven! Even his name is pretty ugly...it's Celeriac! I'm so pleased I finally found time to look my best friend up....I didn't need to add any mustard to mask his taste...he's good just as he is I have mashed my poor best friend up and will eat him tomorrow after putting him on top of my Dukan cottage pie. Oh my mind is in overtime thinking of what I can do with his friends when I go looking for them next shopping day ....love Saska x

Pop him in the oven whole...that's one big fat chip lol or do you mean to chop him up first into chip sizes and then spray? I guess if he went in whole he could be a jacket celeriac? I was very adventurous today and bought some turkey rashers tbh I'd not seen them before but I found them in Tescos....plan to have a couple of rashers in the morning.....hope I don't put weight on with all this food

Its actually really nice, a bit like swede. Quite sweet, i like it and I dont like celery at all.

Dont need oil, just seems to be a celeb chefs best friend! What could u replace the sour cream with? Yogurt? Creme fraishe?

Last night I enjoyed the best meal of Dukan cottage pie topped with my best friend...he didn't let me down and tasted just delicious! I don't really like celery unless it's covered in cream cheese but I did like the taste of Celeriac and so even if you don't like celery then don't be put off.....Celeriac is worth a try. My husband is in Aussie this week and so I saved half my cottage pie for tonight. I was so scared of eating something new plus feeling so full after my cottage pie with asparagus that I was convinced I'd put weight on this morning but no infact I lost 1lb! Well, although my best friend has been devoured I will be on the lookout for his friends when I next go grocery shopping and I feel sure they will taste as good as he did ....
