Hi Rach, glad to see you're still doing well :) I suffer from mild depression too, but I'm not taking any medication for it at the minute. I try to get by without it, but it's hard sometimes.

I hope I'm still going strong like you when I get to three weeks in lol. You're doing really well! :)

Thanks Emma, not felt that strong today to be honest, having quite a low day, but i am determined not to give in and mess it all up, it would be too easy to do that!!

With the help on here you will still be going strong!!

I am on medication as everytime i stop taking it the panic attacks come back so its just not worth it. Hopefully when i have lost weight and feel better about myself i will be able to come off the tablets!!

It's better to take the medication if it's helping with your panic attacks :) Exercise is one of the best treatments for depression though, so once you're in the swing of exercising, your depression might get a bit easier to deal with :) You're right, it would be so easy to give in and mess it all up, but you've made an excellent start with your weight loss! Stay strong and keep going, we're all here for you :)
 
Thanks that means alot!! I used to do a lot of walking a couple of years ago, used to do about 3 miles or more 4/5 times a week.. i would love to get back to that again as i know it does help with depression!!

I really want to try some toning exercises as i am so worried about getting saggy skin from losing weight, so if anyone has any tips?!
 
I'm worried about sagging too, but I'll deal with it when I get further down the line lol. At the gym I used to go to they had toning tables, which were great! You just lie down on these special beds and they vibrate. I've heard they're good for low-impact toning. The lady at the gym also encouraged me to use the weight machines (leg presses, etc) for toning. If you use low weights and build up to larger sets of repetitions that works well for toning too :)
 
Thanks emma, i will look in to doing something like that.. unfortunately cant get to a gym, which is pretty annoying!! You hear so many stories of people who lose weight and end up with the excess skin, i find it scary to be honest!! Dont know if i would like the idea of surgery to removeit, so many risks!!
 
I'm worried about it, but I'm trying to put it to the back of my mind for now. It's going to be tough enough to reach my target weight without worrying about the saggy skin afterwards lol. I think it's going to take a looong time to reach my target so I'm taking each day as it comes and trying not to think too far ahead lol. I guess it's cos I've tried so many times to lose weight before and I've never managed to do it, so I'm probably not very confident in my ability to achieve my target :( But I'm very determined this time!

Do you have a Wii? There are so many good work-out games for the Wii now, it's a godsend! :)
 
Your right, i also have so long to go till i really have to worry about that problem, so i am going to forget about it, now what were we talking about ??!! lol I feel much better now!!

I do have a wii, got to get new batteries for my wii fit board, god i dont even know which ones they take!! I am going to try and get on it more now, while the kids are in school as they always take over it!!

I bought a rechargeable battery pack for my Wii Fit board from Amazon! It cost a few pound, no more than £3 or so, and it plugs in to the back of the Wii using a USB cable which attaches to the Wii Fit board in the battery slot. Have a look for one, it saves using disposable batteries all the time! :)
 
Yeah it saves so many batteries lol.
 
Seems we all seem to have some depression/ anxiety problems.
I've had a bad day, not been on my laptop at all. Tell you all about it tomorrow night when I've got two days off to look forward too xxx

hey girls. hope you have all had a very good day today. mine as been so-so. nothing major but just about to start week 2 and think the sweet cravings and missing of take aways are just kicking in :( really felt like having fish and chips tonight. stayed strong thou. found a WW pizza today that is in the 5g rule so going to cook that up tomorrow and treat myself to some and hope that it kills the take away craving.

I can't bring myself to go to a gym yet either (also have anxiety issues) so i just go walking for exercise and play on the ea active wii game. seems to be helping so far.

i am worried about the excess skin too as no way would have surgery to remove it but going to try and get a ab trainer thing to help with it. think need to invest in a wii too lol

So sorry you have anxiety issues, but like i say i know how you feel!! Sometimes it makes things seem that little bit harder!! I would love to get to the gym, but there isnt one local to me at all and i dont drive as yet, in the process of learning though!! Must try the moisturising although it would take a hell of a lot to get me done lol!!
