My road to claire 'not so cuddly' bear

Hi,

Another newbie (ish) hoping that putting thoughts and struggles and achievements down in a diary will help me on the road to success.

I am following weight watchers, I joined in 2009 lost about 3 stone and then stopped when life got in the way a bit. I put around a stone of the weight back on but managed to keep the rest off. I decided that 2012 is going to be my year, bit the bullet and rejoined.

I lost 7lb in January - I'm not sure this will be repeated in other months as I tend to be more a pound a week loser - but as long as its in the right direction I dont really care how quickly I lose.

I am happy with life, I have a lovely husband, a lovely teenage son and a really good job - if I was just a bit fitter and happier with my appearance then life would be pretty much perfect.

I am mainly losing to keep healthy, I want to live a long life so carrying excess weight will not help with this goal!

I love eating really good tasty food and so crash diets or meal replacements would not work for me.

I hope you will all join me on my journey and help to keep me motivated. I was reading a book by Jillian Michaels from US biggest loser and she said you need a support network and also people to inspire you - I think I have found that here!

Still on track and plodding on. Made dinner in slow cooker but got held up in work and it all stuck to the sides! Luckily managed to salvage enough from the middle to feed everyone.

Weigh in day for me tomorrow, will be happy if I get a pound off as its TOTM and I haven't done any exercise this week at all.
