My second food diary and this time i WILL succeed!

Ok, I am going to give this another go and do it properly this time! I started slimming world back in April and in 8 weeks I lost 8lbs which really frustrated me because I was seeing people lose 8lb in one week and my weight was coming off so slowly! I have just got back off holiday feeling fairly positive however I jumped on the scales and found that I gained 6lb whilst on holiday, therefore my 9 week weight loss journey has overall left me with a 2lb loss :( I know the SW plan and Im confident with it, however looking back I am more aware that I do cheat sometimes and I try to kid myself that what Im eating isnt that bad for me, which I guess is the reason why the weight has come off much slower then I wanted.

So this is why im here with my second food diary, re-starting SW and determined to do it properly this time. I want to lose 2 stone by Christmas, then will re-evaluate after that and decide if i want to lose some more or just maintain. I would really, really appreciate help, advice and just general chit chat to help me stay motivated on this journey to a healthier skinnier me! Im doing the plan from home as work, university and lack of money stop me from going to classes and my WI days are going to be Friday, therefore I will post my first food diary tomorrow.

I am determined and this time i WILL do it and do it properly!

good luck Chloe you can do it.... it's hard NOT to cheat sometimes isn't it we all probably do it at some stage just get back on track and enjoy x
 
Hi - my weight is coming off at the same rate (except for this week) and I only "cheated" once in 5 weeks and I go to the gym 3 times a week so different people have different weight losses and think of it as 1b a week is over 3 stones in 1 year and SW is not hard to stick to really - holidays are the exception!!!

Yeah i know 1lb a week isnt bad but its when you see people lose loads and im going at a snails pace which really puts me down.
Friday is here and the start of my new SW journey is beginning! Will update my first day later on tonight :)

Systema is right Chloe, a pound a week is still very good. You must think that the people who lose big numbers, probably weigh more than you - the bigger you are, the bigger the initial loss, but even then those bigger people tend to stablise to 1-2lbs a week- please don't be despondent with your losses, any loss is good. I am in the 17's so really I should be losing bigger numbers, but I don't - I never really have. I used to go to classes (I go it alone now, like you) and be 100% and lose 2lbs and others would come in and lose 4lb and say "ohh that's lucky I have had two takeaways this week" it would really get my goat I tell you! Even in the first week, I only managed 3lb loss and I was bigger then than I am now!

You will get your 2 stone off, SW works (but only if you stick to it) - I think sometimes putting deadlines on myself is daft, because knowing how my body likes to keep hold of my fat (please refer to my letter from My Mind to My Body in my food diary from a couple of weeks ago!) and I also know that I have a social life and I want to enjoy life and I will go off plan - timeframes and deadlines tend never to be reached. I will get there, of that I am sure - the big pic is I want to be in a certain stone zone by next February - its realistic and reachable (lower 15's), I don't care how long it takes me to get there - I will get there.

I know im just really impatient! Its roughly 27 weeks until christmas so if i lose 1lb a week i can easily lose 2 stone which excites me :)! Been good so far today only had 1 syn but my grandma is visiting tonight and has baked me some scones and i really want one but i must resist haha!
 
lookin good Chloe although I don't know how you can eat quorn sausages ...yuk I had them for the first two days ago n threw them in the bin lol but thats just me x
 
Ok so im beginning to panic about this week now. Last night i was at a party and drank way too much, tomorrow my mum is graduating, tuesday im going to a charity event and wednesday im out for tea, all of which will have alcohol and not exactly good food! I know its kind of cheating, but i think from now until friday im going to count up my syns and have a weekly allowance rather than a daily one, which might help with all the busy things im doing. So i have 75 syns left this week. Off to work now will update later

Today hasnt been too bad apart from wine. Very proud of my mum at her graduation today and it was a cause for celebration so needed the wine haha! Red day today

Congratulations to your Mum. What did she graduate in/as?
Thank you :) She works as a Senior Sister at the hospice in Hull and did a degree in Palliative Care and Oncology whilst working full time as a nurse. Im doing my degree over 4 years and spending most of my time socializing and getting drunk (haha not going to lie!) and shes done hers as well as being a mum and having a full time job, so Im very proud of her shes worked very hard!
