Can i suggest a 4 or maybe 5 tier instead? I used to make cakes for a living now I am only doing the odd one for friends and family and I always talked my brides into faking it. Decorate fake polystyrene tiers and add 2 extra tiers to your cake. This will give you height which looks soooo much better in your photographs and it also looks more impressive displayed on the day for all to see. I have included a few photos of my recent ones and of course i even fake Christening cakes
