New Beginnings

Its only a few soups, I can handle the rest of them, when I feel like using them :)

That text was about 2 minutes after I poured it down the sink - Gross ;)

Why don't you try getting a few bob for them? They always seem to sell on ebay :) xx

Well if you don't find someone who might make better, more immediate use of them ;)......... does Bev like the soups? xx

Thanks Mary but not too keen on the soups myself. I have about 12 left over from last time anyway and can't see me even getting through those! Thanks anyway.

Your girlie shopping day sounds great. Hope you're feeling much better now.

Same thoughts as me Bev :)

Food today,
B 2 slices of soya and linseed toasted with cherry jam.
L Wholemeal Pitts filled with salad, cheese and salad cream.
D Lamb shank, roast pots, veg.

Ditto with the soups! Yuck :(.
How are you doing Mary?x

Girly day sounds fab! :) x

It was fabulous Tanya, but Jamies Italian place was so disappointing. Basic metal seats, cramped seating, we asked to be moved as we were sat at the bar with my back to the kitchen - sweating buckets, couldnt sit there. We shared meditteranean bread, which came in a cardboard pack, just like a McDonalds Chip pack, the Prawn linguine was more like tiny shrimps, under done spaghetti, watery sauce and over seasoned, and we shared a posh chips, about 12 chips again served in a McDonalds cardboard cup thingy. We spent £54 between us and I have had nicer meals in my local cafe, goodbye Jamie Oliver, crap restaurant, basic food, over packed conditions like tin of sardine style. Rant over :D

Had a STS this week, but I cant say I am disappointed as I have over done it the last two days, but 5 days previous were good.

Okay, let me see if I can remember what I ate the last few days.

Thursday,
B - 2 slices of Soya and Linseed toasted with butter.
Morning snack - M&S Lemon drizzle cake and medium latte.
L - 1 tiny piece of crap bread with olive oil and balsamic. 1 prawn linguine, mostly spaghetti. 5 posh chips. Half a bottle of rose :D
At home - 2 slices of cheese on toast, 4 small spring rolls.

Friday.
B - 2 slices of toast and butter.
L - 2 wholemeal rolls with butter, ham, salad.
D - Minced beef, potatoes, cauli, peas.

S - packet of crisps and a bottle of wine!

Really speaking, I should have had a gain so I feel lucky to have had a STS.

Back to it again today a bit more whole heartedly.

B - shake
L - shake
D - ham salad.

Brought 1.5 litres of flavoured water to work, so I will try and get my water intake up a bit this week.

Other than that - all is well at my end.

Oh forgot to tell you that we had a new car a couple of weeks ago, Ford Fiesta Zetec...........I love my gadgets and I love the bluetooth, I speak to the gadget and it phones home for me, which comes through the speaker, I can even command the cd player to change to a particular track amongst a few other commands, so at the moment I am like a kid with a new toy.

I also gave my Step Daughter some money yesterday to pick me up a Zumba for the Wii, so watch this space :D:eek:

Well done on your sts Mary :)

Your Jamie Oliver meal sounds pretty gross. I seem to remember Tan going to one of his restaurants once and really enjoying it, but I might be wrong. Perhaps he hasn't got the quality control quite right. But the cardboard dishes must be approved:(

Your new car sounds fantastic!! :)

Hope you have a good day at work. Xx

But the cardboard dishes must be im[STRIKE]ap[/STRIKE]proved:D:D Yes, I think Tanya went to his restaurant, but this is one in Cardiff has the Italian menu. I have sent some feedback to them, so I will let you know if I get anything back from them. I just think a top notch Restaurant would provide something a bit more upmarket than a similar thing to McDonalds!

Yeah I went to his Italian in Bath & me & Stevie absolutely loved it. No cardboard, decent portioned dishes too. Maybe he's not quite got it right across the board?

Well done on your sts :) xx

Decided to give calorie counting another go, worked out the bmr thingymajig and my calories to maintain are 1730.64 so I have decided to aim to eat 1400-1500 calories per day. Will see how this fares out by next Saturday when I next weigh in.

BTW, how many calories in a bottle of white wine?.............lol.

B - 50g granola (looks tiny), berries, milk 300 calories.
L - 2 WM rolls, ham, mayo, lettuce, tomato 504 calories.
D - Chicken stir fry 450 calories.

Wine, 550.

Snacks - 2 tangerines 74 calories.

Total 1818 calories.

Thats the 1st time I have had granola, I think I will be more satisfied with a smaller amount of porridge 30g. I really didn't find it filling at all. Maybe its all in my mind, but it weighs so heavy, that the 50g looked really small. (unless my scales are broke??)

Back to porridge tomorrow :)

Calories in a bottle of white are 555 (average) bottle of rosé 530 and bottle of red 510 :) xx

Thanks hun, I might just have the whole bottle tonight, I would imagine it would take me about 200 calories over after I have added dinner, but nights Mon and Tues, so will probably just be on about 12-1300 then. Do you think with calories its okay to borrow 200 from the next days amount?
