Hi All,

I am completely new to MiniMins and Exante so please excuse me if this is a big no no to introduce myself in a thread!!

My names Niennor and this is the first food replacement diet I have tried, I used to do the Harcombe diet and lost 30lbs, however, it all came back on again over the last year.

I decided to do a TFR diet as I seem to have a very bad relationship with food, I eat because I am sad, I am sad because I am fat, I am fat because I eat etc etc!

Anyway, I start on Wednesday this week (have only just ordered my bumper pack for the month so will not arrive til tomorrow when I am at work) and I just thought I would ask for some advice on from all you slimming guru's and hopefully I will be able to offer any help, hints and tips that I come up with :) as I am a complete newbie your experiences and guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading, I look forward to slimming together

HI and welcome to minimins and exante :D tis diet is fantastic , certainly changed my life :)
The biggest tip I can give you is be positive , see the diet as a great way to a new you , dont be resentful of it , its not the diet that is hard , it is sticking to it !! The diet is not stopping you from eating , you are CHOOSING not to eat and if you want to eat you can , no one is stopping you x I find when I really want to eat I will tell myself I will have it in an hour , then after an hour I normally dont want it :)
other tips are - drink lots of water , keep busy ( I usually do lots of cleaning in teh first week ) , come on here for support , advise and inspiration , and just rememeber that the first week IS really tough , but it gets so much easier and the results are stunning :)

Good luck :)

Hello and welcome :)

Be prepared for the possibility of a rough few days to begin with but this soon passes. My first week seemed to go really slow but when I was rewarded with my first week loss it makes it all worthwhile and gives you a massive boost in determination.

Good luck x

Thanks so much for the replies it honestly helps so much, I am excited to start, I am certain I am going to need all the support as it will definitely be tough I've already got my 2litre bottle of water sat on my desk so I know I have at least drank that along with as much green tea as i can stomache.

Everyone seems lovely on here so thanks so much! I guess we have to start somewhere. I am excited to see my first weeks loss, even a pound will be an achievement going by my last few weeks of half hearted dieting!!

Hi and welcome :) - best of luck with exante!!

Hello and welcome! Good luck with starting Exante. I am half way through week five and doing ok. Get the odd day when I want to eat (usually when upset of stressed) but just keep glugging the water.

You will probably have a few sore heads in your first week until ketosis kicks in but they should pass.

There is a thread/stickie on here about the drinks you can have and still stay in ketosis - makes a change to water! The vegetable Marigold reduced salt bouillon is worth buying from any supermarket. Gives me a savoury taste and fills me up.

Gook luck again and keep us posted! :)

Welcome and good luck, like everyone says just get past the first few days and it does get better. This diet is not for the faint hearted, but with motivation and the support on this site it is a great diet to do. Results are fast and hunger does diminish along with the pounds x
