Newbie!

Hi, all!

I started Slimming World three weeks ago and thought I'd join this fabulous forum. Because I'm a nurse, I work shifts, and adding that to being the mum of a very active little boy, I have opted to do the programme online. Not going to group is making me feel a bit lost, but I'm down half a stone from my starting point, so yay.

I'm going to have a poke around the forum to see what sticky threads can answer my questions. If anyone has any words of wisdom or advice for a newcomer who can't make it to group, I'd be very grateful!

Good luck sweetie....just take it slowly or it can all be overwhelming...little steps work though
 
Good luck! I'm a nurse and mum too and serial joiner must admit it's harder now. Not sure if it's an age thing or a nurse thing but after a 13 hour shift I struggle to motivate myself

Aw, it's rough at times, isn't it? Bringing in home cooked food to work seems to be key. :)
 
When you work, I think it is very important to bring your meals and snacks in with you. Helps to avoid temptation. Doesn't eliminate it but does help, I find. :)
 
People always send nurses boxes of chocs and biscuits at christmas too..lucky nurses
