He lost 8.5lbs last week and I lost 4lbs last week that's why I was confused :S oh well I'm sure he'll end up with it loads of times so I don't feel too bad lol xx

RE SOTW, I could be wrong, but I think it might tie into % loss somehow? So if I lost 2 lbs and someone at 11 stone lost 2 lbs, they'd get SOTW cos they've lost more % wise.

That makes sense but also makes me even more confused since I am heavier than the other person haha. oh well never mind, maybe the universe working in my favour for a change because I'm a wee bit strapped for cash this week for fruit n stuff and there was loads of it in the slimmer of the week basket :)

Really bored this morning but too tired to go out (didn't sleep a wink just lay awake all night :( ) So I decided to sort out my spare underwear drawer (yes I know I'm weird having a spare underwear drawer haha) and came across my swimming costume complete with price tag still attached!! I bought this the first time I did Slimming World (about 2 years ago) once I'd lost a bit of weight with the intention of going swimming but it never happened. By that point I was a comfortable 20 and fitting into stretchy 18 leggings and jeggings. The costume itself is an 18, but it's from asda so a really generous 18. I tried it on this morning and while I most defo could not wear it in public I managed to get it on. So I have decided to make myself a small goal. I want to fit into it properly by June so I can start going swimming. If I manage it I will treat myself to a nice bikini top (for under the costume, the girls need support!!) and hopefully that will give me the push I need to start swimming again.

Apologies for waffling on. Have probably waffled more than usual due to lack of sleep but I just feel that when these things happen I need to write them doing so that I can reflect on them later.

Great news on finding the swimming costume, shame about the crap sleep. I'm in a weird sleep cycle atm where i stay awake half the night and dont get up till lunch. It's doing my head in. Tried everything to get out of it including getting up at 7am one day. Nothing works! Grr!

Cool we can keep each other motivated :) Good luck with the shred as well. There's just something about Gillian isn't there? Did you ever watch the biggest loser? One minute I'd be like you ***** leave them alone!! And the next omg she's sooo nice when they were pouring their heart out to her haha. Talk about emotional rollercoaster.

I'm exactly the same with the sleep. Go through periods like this all the time staying up half the night and not getting up at a decent time the next day. Tried to stay up right through today and ended up feeling really ill and a "nap" at 1pm resulted in me waking up at 7pm gahh!! Really need to get it sorted though as I keep missing classes at college and they are getting really pissed at me. Oh and my graded unit assignment which basically gives me my grade for the entire year is due on Monday and I have most of it still to do!! Grrr after it gets to a certain time of night I just can't face doing it. Need to get my finger out as it's my birthday on Monday too so it will end up ruined if I get bollocked at/potentially kicked out for not finishing the assignment.

Lunch: 3 boiled eggs and pickled onions
Dinner: SW Chilli with rice and veg. 30g cheddar melted on top (HXA)
Snacks: Jelly (0.5 syns), tea with whitener (1 syn), tangerine, Kitkat (5.5 syns)
Total syns: 7 :)

Not a lot of food today but I did sleep from about 1pm - 7pm today. Going to try and get an earlyish night as going bra shopping with my gran tomorrow. (She always buys me a new bra for my birthday cos they are crazy expensive compared to "normal" sizes so I can't afford to get new ones very often)

Had a really good day today :) My gran was super generous and bought me two new bras for my birthday (or hammocks as she calls them haha). Popped into Tesco as well and got stuff for baking SW cupcakes instead of birthday cake and picked up some lovely half price salmon for dinner. Stupidly forgot baking soda though :( Do you think the half syn cake recipe (http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/264716-syn-free-low-syn-cake.html) will work without it?
Also going to try the cinnamon cream recipe from the SW website for the topping but minus the fat free fromage frais because Tesco don't sell the fat free variety.

My left thigh and butt cheek are aching from the squats but the right side seems ok.... dunno if I'm putting more weight on the left side or if the right side is just stronger. Oh well hopefully it means my muscles are getting ready to tone up a bit (even if I won't be able to see it through the fat!).

Anyways I have rambled on enough :) Hope your all good.

Eeep shopping today has given me the shopping bug!! Am window shopping online and have mentally spent a fortune. I don't even intend to buy many new clothes as I go down sizes because I've got loads of almost new clothes ranging from sizes 12 -24 as I went up sizes so quickly most stuff barely got a lot of use. May have to reward myself with shoes or handbags or something else along those lines as I lose weight so I don't ending wasting a fortune!
 
Feel sooo ill today :( felt it creeping up on me over the past couple of days but thought it was gonna be another mild chest infection (I get them quite often) but it seems to be a full blown cold/flu. I'm shivering but sweating, head is soo sore, throat hurt, coughing up gunk and feel nauseous. Doing my best to stay on plan had a pear which was quite nice and forced down a hi-fi bar for my hxb. Even managed to put on a big pot of soup even though I felt dizzy and faint the whole time. (10 mins to prepare but felt like hours). Also tried to do my squats and push ups but hubby was like get back on the couch!! Haha really wanted to keep going with it but he pointed out that I'm so weak I'll probably make myself worse by doing it so I will carry on with day 3 as soon as I feel strong enough. Will try to have some parmasen over a bowl of soup later to get my HXA but I doubt I will be having any syns today. Really hope I'm better soon defo won't be making my birthday cupcakes this weekend and at this right I'll be spending my birthday in bed (and not in a good way ;) ). Ironically I'm less worried about my birthday and more worried about the scales on Wednesday really don't want illness to hamper my progress.

Feeling a bit better but not 100% yet. Couldn't be bothered making the cupcakes so made the cake in a mug instead. The mixtures itself was lush but wasn't too keen on the texture once it was cooked.

Today's Food:

Brunch: 2 ww pitta bread (HXB & 5 syns), philly light (HXA), ham and cucumber
Dinner: Sausage casserole (3syns), creamy mash (made with quark), brussel sprouts and cauliflower
Snacks: Cake in a mug (2 syns)

May have something light for supper later but still reasonably full just now
 
6lbs off this week!!! Sooo happy to finish off January with such a good loss and slimmer of the month into the bargain!! The fridge is looking very pretty now with all my certificates and fridge magnets. Also loving the sticker bling on my book. 4 stickers in 3 weeks :D Chuffed with myself :) Feeling tons better now aswell just a slight tickle left in my throat but think I am going to carry on with day 3 of 30 day challenge from tomorrow.

How is everyone else getting on?

I've kinda fell off the exercise wagon thanks to a very painful * week that's had me reaching for the co-codemol! Getting back on it though from Friday. How are you finding it so far?
