No more excuses

I know, it's mad. And just measured, another 7cm gone so a total of just over 10 inches from all round my body.

Thanks. Feels fab to know its all coming off.

Up far too early this morning after far too little sleep. Can tell I need to drink more water as my mouth feels awful but don't have any on me and no idea if I'll be able to get any before about midday :(

Lack of water is not good. Feel so dehydrated right now :(

Got some now :) it's probably because I've been so busy the last 3 days I've barely had chance to drink and although it normally wouldn't affect me being on this diet means or does.

As much as I hate water it's imperative to drink enough water while on this program as we don't get enough of it through fruit veg etc. Your body will start protecting itself by retaining water and you will start seeing slower losses.
I hope you feel better soon x

Managed to get a bit more water down today but not as much as I'd have liked as I managed to leave my water bottle somewhere. D'Oh!
Really struggled the last week or so to get all 4 packs in. Other than the crispy choc (which I have with milk in the morning) I seem to have developed a phobia of having the shakes as shakes (I haven't had any since re-starting) and then the other day I ran of the meal packs I normally eat (I do have a few others but don't fancy them). I also have bars but don't tend to like having them unless I'm going out somewhere. Only 1 day of the last 8 have I actually managed to get the minimum recommended calories :/ I know I'll probably get told off by some of you on here. I know at the same time as I've always had a least 3 a day (which I did last time on this diet before it changed) it's not going to harm me or my weight loss, but at the same time I know I should really be having more. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that in the next few days I'll get the shakes and meals I brought off someone else which has shakes I actually want to try and the meals will help too. Need to pull my finger out and try and follow the new recommendations as much as possible.

It can be tough, but at least you are making plans to try and fit in all the packs :). I don't think missing the odd one would hurt but I think the reason they upped the number of packs is to fit in with government regulations about calories on vlcds. The problem I would think is if they have reduced the vitamin values so that each pack is a quarter rather than a third of your daily needs you may become malnourished quite quickly. I don't know whether they have done that, but it would make sense if they did. I am definitely not preaching - you are an adult and must be allowed to make your own decisions. I hate being preached to (eek) but just thought it was worth throwing into the pot for consideration.

In terms of them decreasing stuff. I don't actually have any new packs so even if they had it wouldn't effect me at the moment. I can see why they would increase the min calories required but it can be a pain for me as when I have a busy day I don't usually have time for more than 3 a day and when I don't I usually wake up so late breakfast is basically lunch. Before doing this I often only had 2 meals a day anyway so even fitting in a third can sometimes be difficult.

Well managed the 4 packs today however feel sick for having done so. Had my 3 and decided that I needed to have my 4th since I've been so bad at doing it recently even though I still felt full from my previous pack a few hours earlier. Really wish I hadn't as my stomach now hurts from filling it up to much. Not sure what to do now. Do I stick to 3 a day or keep trying the 4 and hope my stomach stretches to fit them all in?

Poor you! If it is making you so ill you might have to accept you won't always get the four in. Although you know I worry about you not having enough calories, it would be awful if you ended up so fed up with the whole thing you gave it up. Another thought, would it work to add a high protein food in with your evening pack? That way you will stay in ketosis, won't need to have a fourth 'meal' and still increase your nutritional input. Basically you have to do what works for you. I'm sure you'll do fine whatever you decide :)

The problem for me with adding a high protein food in is that I don't want any food in the house as I know I would just end up binging on it. Plus I end up so full from the packs that adding anything to any of them would again end up with me feeling sick. I might just stick to 3 the days I get up later and try for 4 when I get up earlier.

Well went out for a meal again this evening (seems like its going to be a regular tues eve thing). Again had grilled chicken with peas and a small side salad. Had a few bites if the lettuce from the salad, about half the peas (yeah I know they aren't s&s friendly) and about 3/4 of the chicken. So quite a bit left on my plate at the end. And I didn't have an overwhelming compulsion to finish it all and leave a clean plate. I'm finally getting somewhere :)

Had my first naughty today :/ Had a burger (no bun), it was delish but going to have to be extra good the rest of the day.
