Oh my God - film moments

My friend and I were joking around about someone being given an offer he cannot refuse and we remembered the horse's head scene from the Godfather. Definatley, an OMG moment.

Were there any moments that shocked/surprised you??

I was one of the few who didnt see the twist in the Sixth Sense coming. That was a moment

The ending of "The Mist" got me.
Was totally like OMG :cry:

the ending of sixth sense got me too! And the ending of the first Saw film? Both myself and my husband were "OMG!"...

It's a Japanese film about an man for a long time for no apparent reason - he then is released and seeks to find out the reason for his imprisonment. It is really not for the feint hearted and is really quite sickening..but not in a "Saw" sense...it is much more disturbing...

My OMG moment was the first time I watched Presumed Innocent. Double whammy at the end! Anyone who likes a twist will get it

Presumed Innocent - kind of whodunnit/courtroom drama - Harrison Ford, Greta Scacchi, Raul Julia - it's good if you like that kind of thing!
My other favourite surprise moment is in The Usual Suspects. One of my top films of all time!
And I suppose, maybe top of the OMG moments has to be the first time you ever saw that scene in Alien. You know the one I mean

Audition - it's a japanese film, and makes Saw look like a Disney movie!

Honourable mentions go to "Chloe" - one of the sex scenes where one of the characters was staring at the shoes and "Secretary" ("I'M A SECRETARY!!!").

a tv one, i rememebr from the original series of Spooks - when the blond girl gets her head shoved in the deep fat fryer. i honestly jumped like a bee'd stung me, it was very sudden and shocking and i felt very queasy after! the only time i can rememebr being jolted out of my seat watching tv!

I remember this soooo vividly. I actually stopped watching spoons because of this scene. It was appalling.

Not so much shocked as annoyed me.

I think it's called City of Angels - Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage. right at the end everything's hunky dory, she got her man (well her angel) and she goes out cycling, shuts her flipping eyes riding down the road. Cue great big lorry - I could slap her daft lol.
